im wondering if a Shaman/Demo Hybrid with Savagery and Briathorn as core dmg abilities is viable.
I recently started playing and i love the WoW BM HUnter Class fanatsy, my idea was to have a stong pet as main dmg source with me supporting the pet with savagery (bleed ticks).
Am I able to get good “Cunning” gear with +%PetDMG or is this exclusive to Spirit gear?
Will i be able to stack enough blled dmg via the build itself + gear to make savagery worth?
I also want to use Stunjacks and grasping vines for CC, and Conjuure Primal Spirit as my big DPS CD.
Thats kinda the core for DPS and CC in my build im not sure on survivability yet i.e def CD’s.
Have yet to see a hybrid pet character work. One of three things almost always happens:
A) The pets aren’t invested in, and hit like wet noodles
B) The character’s damage isn’t invested in, and you hit like a wet noodle
C) You go all out on offense, and have the durability of wet tissue paper…also you and your pets hit like slightly stiffer noodles.
Pet hybrids can be fun for the first difficulty and can likely even clear much/all of elite with some struggle but clearing ultimate/taking down Nems would most likely be extremely tedious if not impossible.
On the plus side bleeding is the best damage type to try it with as Modrogen will increase both your bleed and the pets damage.
Besides Stun Jacks and Flash Bang for CC, not sure what else a demo will contribute to that build… There isn’t much support for cunning, bleed or pets from a Demo. A nightblade might help support more as it would give you mobility with SS and more cunning/bleed support. Also has a bleeding pet you might be able to work in… Blade trap could be used for your CC. I’m no expert on the matter so that is just the surface things I see…I could be wrong though…
I also agree that Demo isn’t doing much here even if I were to attempt this. I’d either go Conjurer (more pets, best bleed debuffer there is) or Warder (tankier + some bleeding options from Soldier tho you will be point starved as is.)
Im having a conjurer already but he doesnt fullfill my fantasy, conjurers are mor elike demo-Locks than hunters tho. guess ill have to stick to the conjurer then.
There’s only one Hybrid Pet Conjurer build works on Ultimate, it can clear SoT and BoC easily, kill Fabius, Moosilauke, and Anasteria within reasonable time (1-2 mins). But it’s Poison based and almost impossible to SF or even legitimately geared.
The main problem is there is (almost) no gear supports to Hybrid with, pet gears’ damage types are too spread out to function on Ultimate.
