Hi there. I got some questions, i really think that this is known but i found nothing which answers my question.
If there is any other posts you know about, pls give a link. I searched in forum but found nothing which really fits.
The first thing is about Pet Life Leech: Does that work? I cannot see ingame that pets gain health when they attack any creature. Or is it too less what the leech that i can see it?
The second thing is about Pet-Health-Regeneration. There is, as you can see, no âHealth Regenerationâ in the Charactersheet in Pet Bonuses. I see that Pets do NOT regen health at all. Will this be fixed at any time or is that just so?
Last thing i had is about Pet Damage. The last item i screenshotted give the Pets +41% Vitality damage. But if i took this item off, only the values Pet Damage (and of course all speed) is changing. Pet Damage only the 33% of the item. How does any other damaga-type like lightning or poisen or chaos (like from Unholy Covenant Set) influence the pet overall dmg?
Is the Unholy Covenant Set just ⌠well, useless? Or did i miss something?
PS:
Erm, how can i inbound a big picture that u not have to klick on it to see the right size? Doesnt work for me with [img] code. :o
Regarding Q2: pets regen, just slowly. Have seen hellhound, raven, briarthorn and skeleton regain hp over time. But when badly wounded, faster to call up another.
Too low to see. Letâs say your pet does 5k damage. At 6% life steal, thatâs 300 health restored out of 50K max health, or 0.6% of health. Wonât even move the bar.
Character sheet is very incomplete for pet bonuses, and your pet regens just fine. However, itâs too low to see. Letâs say standing regen of 100hp/s at 50K max health - wonât show up on the health bar at all.
If you want to see passive health regen that actually moves the bar, add in some large regen bonuses such as Blood of Dreeg stacked with Tree of Life.
The main things to keep in mind with pets and health are:
The pet health bar is a LOT bigger than the playerâs, so healing affects their bar a lot less, unless itâs percentage-based healing; and
Players benefit from tons and tons of various passive bonuses (items, skills, devotions, etc.): for example, hover over your health regen to see how much bonus your character has on top of their base vitality regen. However, your pets enjoy no such passive bonuses unless you specifically add it to them.
âPet damageâ on character sheet only shows the total damage modifier. Individual damage type bonuses are not shown but still stack on top of total damage. Assuming you have no other individual damage type bonuses in your example, your pets would inflict 749% using all non-vitality damage types and +790% using vitality damage.
Itâs one of the best pet sets available. That said, there are hardly any pet sets to choose from.
As a general rule I donât use pet sets on any of my builds, though I will use pieces of sets - the Beastcallerâs Cowl especially.
Anyway you simply have a lot of options when it comes to choosing pet gear and itâs much easier to devote accessories to +pet damage (mostly because of the âSubjugatorâsâ affix) and devote the rest of your gear slots to essentials like HP, resists, regen, etc. If those are already covered, then I might sneak in an extra non-accessory +pet damage item or two.
You can make your pets do all sorts of damage types using devotion skills.
I tested a bit and you are right, they regen health and they steal life with attacks. But my Briarthorn has nearly 100k hp so its like you say, you cannot always see the bar moving from regen or lifesteal, only if the pet does a big crit.
I hope that in future will be more info for damage (and hp regen) at Pet Bonus Sheet, i really like to see how all the other dmg types count and are shown up.
