i´ve been playing GD for quiete a bit but still im not sure about some of the game mechanics.
Here are my questions:
If i have a toggled skill like “stormcallers pact” which gives me a 33% chance for 65% more lightning damage, does this bonus apply to any damage i inflict? Even if just an “onhit devotion proc” happens that also deals lightning damage? Or does ist just apply for lightning damage i inflict with my primary skills and autoattacks?
I want to build a dual wielding character. This character should have an autoattack modifier that does not interfere with my nightblade “dual blades” procs such as execute or amarasta´s quick cut. (Since a cadence proc would always overwrite another possible proc i will not chose soldier as my second class. So now to the question: Does “firestrike” and “savagery” synergize with the dual blade procs?
FYI, regarding #2, when curious whether something will proc off of autoattacks always look for the phrase “Default Weapon Attacks” in the tooltip. If it is mentioned that the skill behaves as a default attack then it can proc skills that require default attacks. Since both Savagery and Firestrike can behave as default weapon attacks they can both proc such skills.
Lets assume i have a fully leveled firestrike or savagery Autoattack which would hit pretty powerful…
Lets also assume i have dual blade procs of the first level only…
Wouldnt it be a waste of skill points to use the dual blade procs since my autoattacks would probably hit even harder?
In other words, is the combination of autoattack modifier with any kind of procs the opposite of a synergy? I mwan it means you invest skillpoints in two things while only one of both can happen at any given time…?!
Both happen. When using a default attack replacer in combination with a weapon pool skill (WPS) like the dual blade ones the %weapon damage portion get multiplied with each other. Other bonuses apply, too. Replacer + WPS is always stronger than just the default attack.
