Questions from a noob - game reliable?

Hello heroes!
I was playing a bit the game, lvl 28 atm, and I have some doubts, maybe you can help me. Beofre a continue to invest time in this game, I want to know if it is worthy. because you know, this is the kind of game that you invest TIME  e.g. I have played ~2000hours on Diablo 3 and I would played more if the dev team did not do some epic mistakes…
some questions:

  1. Is the game playable in multiplayer? I mean, from technical point of view. I tried to play with a friend in party, 5-7mins - game freeze - PC freeze, need restart… try again, 5mins, game and PC freeze again, restart… tried to see server list, game and PC freeze…
I do not have any problems with my PC. NO freeze in any other game. can play Diablo 3 in 4 party group for hours without any problem.

  2. The game spam me with quests! A LOT of quest. are they mandatory to do for character evolution or can be consider optional? I do now want to do that 999999 quests. I am the kind of player that want to develop the char by following main story line(is there any? I lose the story line in so many aditional quests…).

  3. how many hours I need to play to have a char that is able to farm latest difficulty Ultimate? when I will set loot to Epic+ ?

  4. how is the end game? after completing Ultimate, what can we do? e.g. in Diablo 3 there are Greater Rifts challenge, where you can push your limits in a “infinite” difficulty levels and compete with others in leaderboards.

Thanks in advance for your answers!

  1. Yes, the game should be playable in multiplayer without any issues. If you have issues of any kind i would search the forums a bit or ask in the help sections.

  2. I guess you could skip most of the quests. But they give really good experience, and i think pretty much all of them can be completed with no or minimal deviations off the main path. And they give some decent rewards as well.

  3. Grim dawn is about the voyage not the endgame like diablo 3, while in d3 i find leveling a chore, in GD i enjoy the leveling and gearing as i go. So dont focus too much on the endgame. It should take you quite a few hours before hitting ultimate tough. In GD gearing up actually matters and is a bit more than slapping on a random set like in D3 (just my opinions tough)

  4. Endgame is a bit of a weakness in GD, you could farm the dungeons, or go push crucible levels. Crucible is sort of like the rifts, in the way the higher you get the bigger the reward. And it has 3 difficulties as well, and i think each difficulty has 150 levels or something along those lines.

  1. how many hours I need to play to have a char that is able to farm latest difficulty Ultimate? when I will set loot to Epic+ ?

Given that you’re almost guaranteed to mess up your first character, and given the length of the game, I’d say you’ll need at least 60+ hours of playing before you reach Ultimate with a comfortable build.

Loot gets much better around level 50.

hopefully I will not mess up my first char
but how can be messed up? since points invested in skills and devotion can be reset. what can not be undo and can mees up the char ?

attribute points and skill points invested in skill mastery bar can not be resetted

ok, I will take care with that points.

how is the feeling on playing on ultimate difficulty and gear strong enough ?
currently I can not feel that skills are powerful and the monsters density seems low. so there is not that feeling of “take this!”. In D3 you have that feeling, when being attacked by a big group of monsters and kill them all with strong skills that have also nice visaul effect. will this be happening on Ultimate?

Let’s be fair. MP is playable but you have to expect problems. Many many people experience freezes, crashes, desync but if it is no game killer for you, you can have a lot of fun like I do.
