So those gloves add 55% weapon damage to Cadence (and convert half of Physical to Chaos). Does it mean 55% weapon damage is added only to third “cadence” strike or to every cadence attack?
It converts all physical to chaos in a cadence strike. Means hit before that that charge cadence will not be converted to chaos. Only the cadence hit, which is every third attack.
I thought you don’t want to play soldier?

Yes, but I am theorycrafting in GDstash since Veteragna sent me his Markovian WB to test.
I don’t care about conversion, I am interested in weapon damage. Is it applied to every third hit or to every hit?
Every third hit

Ah shit. Did you test it? Or is it a well known fact and been brought many times on these forums?
Hmm, it just doesn’t make sense if it affect all hit. All cadence line only affect the third hit, never affect every hit. So it’s only logical if every modifier it has only affect the cadence hit, which is the third hit.

It should, in my mind, be every third ht
Does it mean that devotions bound to Cadence only proc off the third hit?
Yes, but that´s not necessarily horrible, it probably depends on your attack speed and the devotion as such.
Not true. Devotions assigned to Cadence can proc on all three strikes.
Huh.
Good to know. Doesn´t really make sense, but okay. Thanks for the info.
I assume the effects of deadly momentum are also converted. So it should apply on every hit provided Cadence has already triggered and Deadly Momentum is in effect. But then this means that the effects should be global. I’ll test it later
I was wondering about this earlier today and don’t actually know for sure.
For Cadence it doesn’t much matter; either the Physical Damage is converted as part of the buff, or the buff applies through the % Weapon Damage, which will then be converted regardless. But for all other skills, I don’t fully know. Could try proc’ing DM and then checking the damage breakdown of something like Savagery, to see if it has any Chaos damage added in (outside the raw damage Mythical Voidsteel Gauntlets give).
It’s also not the way medierra et. al. initially described Devotion working ( https://youtu.be/do-XsGZOxsE?t=447 ), but the way I assume it’s working in-game is that Devotion checks simply which skill is being activated at any given time and if there’s a Celestial Power attached to it, roll the proc chance and maybe proc it. Cadence does have other effects which activate on every attack - namely, its Energy Cost - so the game definitely registers that you’re using Cadence even when not hitting with the third strike.
The flat damage of Deadly Momentum is applied through weapon damage. It’s a global buff, and i have done stuff like getting physical sources for Fire FW to get more flat damage for FW.
That’s…not really what’s being asked. We’re curious whether a 100% Damage conversion modifier to Cadence applies to DM.
I was responding to this. DM is basically an outside source and outside sources get applied to skills with conversions mods through weapon damage. So the flat physical in DM becomes flat Chaos.
Right, but the conversion mod only applies to Cadence whereas DM does not. What happens if you have that conversion mod, proc DM, and then use Savagery? Is DM giving you Chaos Damage or Physical Damage?
Now that’s a different story and i’m too lazy to test it. You do it.
I think it’s physical actually. It turns into Chaos in Cadence because of the mod but physical in Savagery because it has no mod.
Tested it, when DM is active the physical damage bonus is converted to Chaos damage for Cadence only.
Every other skill or normal weapon attack gets bonus physical damage instead of bonus chaos damage when DM is active.
