I’m tyrying to build a character built around piercing damage but I’m a bit unsure about the piercing conversion. I think i read somewhere in a patch way back in Early Acces, that conversion on piercing differs from normal conversion because it was changed that the weapon damage will be increased by physical damage % and after that will be changed to piercing which will then be increased by piercing damage %.
For example: we have a weapon with 100 weapondamge with 50% armorpiercing. Also 100% physical and 100% piercing modifier.
So normally it would be 50 physical and 50 pierce which is then increased by 50 each so we’ll have 200 dmg so:
-100 Physical Damage
-100 Pierce Damage
or
as I think it is 100 physical which is increased by 100 so 200 physical. After that 50% is converted to pierce (100 damage)which is increased by 100% so we have 200 pierce and overall 300 dmg:
-100 Physical Damage
-200 Pierce Damage
Option 2 seems so wrong but I’m rather sure that I read it somewhere it works that way - so which one is correct?
