I’m still trying to understand why OlexraFF gives fire RR when every item supporting it has cold damage. And why CallidorT and OlexraFF give physical RR. But that’s not the point here.
My question is:
If I go something like this for a ton of fire RR (double Warpfire + Olexra FF linked to Eldritch Fire): can it theoretically one shot every mob on screen with one button pushed ? In other words, will all RR apply before so that OFF’s damage obliterate every visible foe ?
Crate stated multiple times they won’t rework it because it’s supposed to be a leveling skill. If they did rework it, it’d either lose the RR or have it very, very drastically reduced if it would work outside of freeze.
and Mageslayer set have freeze resistance reduction, so it applies to more monsters. Perhaps a few more items or such could be nice to add but the skill in general have a solid usage
Off is really nice for levelling in early game combine with demo skills or fireblast from component.Of course boss battles are slow,if you don’t have other offensive spells. But there is another problem,a lot of things in act 5 just don’t freeze and I look Ugdenbog golems in grim tools, they have 500% resistance:rolleyes:.
Crate never said it was for leveling, it’s a skill meant for CROWD control, not Boss control. Yeah, it sucks it doesn’t work against bosses, but that’s how it is.
There’s an interesting mastery in Cataclysm mod, Elementalist or Mage, I can’t remember exactly, that has this reciprocal dynamic:
Fireball - Deals XX fire damage / -15% Cold resistance.
Icebolt - Deals XX cold damage / -15% Fire Resistance (like O’sFF).
CoF is really good, not only in Coop. Linked with a damaging ability and nice RR and DA debuff, it can be used in almost every build. OFF on the contrary …
