I looked but could not find a clear answer anywhere: does %damage to [race] affect retal damage? Such as on the Sanctified Bone. Thanks.
I’m sure it works for RATA but not sure about basic (monsters killing themselves by just hitting) you retaliation, since I never played such build.

RATA gets racial while normal retal doesn’t.

Overall, RATA scales with OA/DA, crit damage, racial, and skill specific lifesteal (i.e. DE). It doesn’t benefit from global lifesteal and the “total damage modified” stat (there’s a separate “total retal damage modified” stat).
None of the things stated above affect normal retal except total retal damage mod.
Cool, that confirms what I knew/suspected about retal from searching in past threads. The racial question was the one big thing I was still wondering about.
