Rank the weak skills (need strengthened/redone), almost no one to use these skills

1. Olexra’s flash freeze
The BOSS can’t be frozen by it at all, most of the small mobs can’t be frozen either, and it doesn’t do much damage. The weakest skill.

2. Judgment
As a main attack, its skill damage is very low, and as a support skill, it doesn’t reduce resistance or the enemy’s damage either.

3. Blade Trap
As a trap-style gameplay, it’s quite novel, but it doesn’t deal much damage.

4. Kallidor’s Tempest
As a main attack skill, the damage is pretty low, and the AOE range isn’t very big. Pretty useless.

5. Bloody Pox
Bleeding doesn’t do much damage, but it can boost the enemy’s output. It also doesn’t reduce resistance.

6. Devouring Swarm
As a support skill, the stats are pretty decent, but the range is way too small, and the casting recovery is really long.

7. Horn of Gandarr
Doesn’t do much damage, and even as a support skill it’s not good. The portion is usually used for damage reduction, making it useless.

8. Resilience
As a lifesaving skill, it has no healing, no damage absorption, and the resistance it provides is really stingy.

These skills are too weak, and almost no one uses them for building a BD. Any other weak skills? Welcome to add more.

I’m gonna assume this is auto translated and means Callidor’s Tempest, Bloody Pox and Devouring Swarm. So, the last one is flat-out wrong to a hilarious degree, Bloody Pox was part of a pretty insane build this patch if I remember correctly and… okay, yeah, CT could use a bit of love, admittedly, but there are numerous builds on grimtools using it, so I am really not sure where you got your information from?

Callidor was in top20
it was one of the “first” skills to get feedbacked in pre-FoA ptr from changes enemy changes that made it not as fast as top builds, changes that got reverted letting Callidor keep AoE’ing bosses. It’s had base dmg increases and energy cost reduct etc etc. If you’re fighting anything Single target it will will suffer more from it, that’s just the nature of AoE skill

Swarm is a RR debuff skill, not meant to be a main dmg skill; it’s in every bleed or vitality build ever because of it.

Pox has seen more inclusions in recent times because of the OA shred, it’s hard to make a centre skill because again a debuff class, but it’s been used effectively on retal and a vit build still as aoe/debuffer.

My tips for the most unused skills would be mostly pet actives:
Briarthorn Ground Slam
Familiar Mend Flesh
Blight Fiend Blight Burst
Ulzuin’s Wrath

Tempest can be included in several builds. Devouring Swarm is mandatory on anything Bleed/Vit. Bloody Pox has the OA shred. Can also be used for supplemental Bleed damage. Even Fevered Rage can have some niche uses against certain enemies to help retal/block builds with the attack speed buff on enemies.

“every” pet build takes ground slam and blight burst to r12 atleast for taunt tho ?

Do they? I guess since Celestials only have 75% Taunt resist, it’s worth it?

I honestly have zero idea about how Taunt mechanics work, especially in conjunction with Taunt resist.

Geez, I don’t know about that …

And just so you know, Bloody pox is even stronger.

They have different names for different languages.

You can be killer with any skill on Ultimate if you focus on a specific skill and items.

Well, It is too weak for Bloody Pox as a debuffer, because it has not resist reduction.

You mean Blade trap & Olexra’s Flash Freeze?

No, he means Storm box of Elgoloth and Flashbang :upside_down_face:

Bloody pox has PLENTY of support to be used as a main skill and clear the entire game with.

The 3 skills you mentioned in the OP are a far cry from being the worst…

Blade Trap, Storm Box, Olexra’s flash freeze, Ulzuin’s wrath, Judgment are all too weak to complete the game with just those skills… the 3 you mentioned ARE strong enough, so definitely not the place to put effort IMO

I NEED my Bloody Pox! Its a disgusting concept, but i love infecting folks with 3rd-generation, Chinese-turbo-powered Ebola before theyre within swinging distance. I have this insane sick obsession with watching my enemies bleed out right in front of me even after they fall over dead with their last blood gushing out of their corpses like the fountains at the Taj Majal.
I really worry about myself sometimes… :no_mouth:

Then try the build I posted just above

You are right. I think i should rank the weakest skills.

Alright let’s see it

Agreed with #1 and 2.
Blade trap suffers from the same issue Olexra’s flash freeze does: it doesn’t work on big bosses.
BUT… Blade trap on its own is fully capable of taking you through the entire game. The criticism that it doesn’t have enough damage is simply not true.

Yeah, it could probably use a buff, but it’s not terrible and deserves to be lower on this list

Bloody pox doesn’t belong on this list, period.

Neither does DS. Like I linked above, it’s a level 1 debuff… that’s strong enough to clear the entire game by itself

Yeah, agreed on those. Horn is clearly not meant to be a solo damage skill, as it has low damage, but it has the biggest damage reduction of the entire game. The problem is that even when you gear around it, and take every damage-enhancing mod out there, it’s still mediocre. In fact, even when you build around making it super strong it’s still lackluster…

Resilience would really shine with some flat DR, or massive physical resist. Right now, it’s much worse at keeping you alive than all the alternatives. One way to make it better would be to massively reduce its cooldown so you can benefit more frequently.

Things missing from your list:

Storm box of Elgoloth
This should be in the top 3. It’s a debuff that carries no RR, no DR, negligible amount of DA shred, and not much else. It’s also awkward to use, has a weird cooldown tempo, very limited range, and lukewarm damage. It should be at the top IMO.

Flashbang:
It has very good CC in both its nods, but has basically no mods, deals zero damage, and in most cases, the points are better spent elsewhere. It definitely needs OA shred (And not the “reduced by” kind) or reduced resist. As it stands, I don’t see anyone using this.

Eye of Reckoning:
Bottom of the list as it’s not abysmal… but it’s definitely not “good”. Just got boosted in 1.3.1, but I’m not sure this is enough to make it shine.

Guardians of Empyrion:
Yeah, they are superb RR machines, but if you try to build around them for damage, they are even worse than wind devils… even when you have seven of them.

callidor was literally just buffed
srs, we need to stop buffing skills through the rough just because they don’t all 1shot single target dmg celestials

Blight Burst and Ground Slam are good, not to the same level as say, Birb’s Lightning Strike, but still good.

Mend Flesh, I do find pretty lackluster even when maxed on a Bysmiel’s Trinkets setup.

Yes, I made a chaos callidor, it’s by no means top-tier, but the feel isn’t bad.
