Rat Catcher Cost Versus Impact/Efficiency

To me, the rat catchers seem WAY too expensive as a monthly expense for what they are doing. For whatever reason, I have 3 and constantly move their work area because of their cost, but it takes them forever to remove the rats as well. I think some balancing needs to take place. Either the speed at which they can clear should be increased, or the cost should be halved (or even reduced by 75%) so that we would and could add more of them.

Well, I would make a few changes to the Pied Piper

  1. reduced the cost of maintenance
  2. would make the rat catcher a building with several levels of development, if T1 is a building that clears rats from a certain radius, then T2 has an increased radius of effectiveness, and makes it possible to install rat traps (like traps for a hunter), each trap creates a small zone for clearing rodents for outside the radius of the rat catcher, but has restrictions on the installation distance.
    Each trap costs iron and one Tier 2 rat catcher makes it possible to set four rat traps.
    or make a gradation
    T1 rat catcher - 2 rat traps,
    T2 rat catcher - 4 rat traps
