I finally finished the apostate. It’s wrecking again! I basically took ideas from THT’s cabalist.
So what are the changes:
rings: Mythical Signet of the Fallen, Voidheart for vitality RR (as Reign of fire and ice rings were heavily nerfed and are basically useless, at least in this build)
relic: Scourge, because we need that active ability, it rocks!
components: Blessed steel for active ability (damage+RR) and Seal of Resonance
devotions: ghoul insteal of Fiend, bind Time Dilation to Scourge and use it as your left mouse attack, bind wendigo to word of pain

It shows build incorrecty, messing resists, attributes and skill points a bit, but you’ll get the idea.
With this I finished under 30min, feeling pretty safe even when facetanking Valdaran+Fabius.

Sure you can use more defensive tools if you feel the need, but it definitely won’t be BIS. This build is incredibly tanky, maybe you’re just doing something wrong. Read the crucible guide, it’s in the initial post and is very useful.

I clearly wrote in builds’ descriptions which ones are good for beginners, have leveling guides and work even with mediocre gear, like build 5 for example.

Have no idea how you made the haters gonna hate assumption from what I said. I have no.2 at L100 and have hit a gear roadblock already, its in no way beginner friendly in HC challenger crucible. IMO no build that requires a specific rare item is beginner friendly, not to mention a full set… Did you try it with faction gear, no set and only rings/non mythical weapon? And trash tier everything else? That’s a realistic players self found items. And real lucky with the weapon. Its ultimate doable for sure but not RNG hell that is Crucible doable.
Looking at no.5 faction gear list how would that go in HC challenger crucible? Every character I’ve made so far can get through vanilla ultimate like its a joke in trash tier self found gear but crucible is where the gear/blueprints are at… Of all builds listed which can easily overcome say dual Iron Maiden/Fabius in only faction and trash tier gear and not with any real risk of death?

OPs topic is about the top builds (based on his own criteria) of AoM so you’re looking at the wrong place for what you want. Realistically, you probably shouldn’t be farming to 150 gladiator if you’re only using faction and trash gear since it’s probably not efficient. You have to work your way up to that point.
I don’t think even Challenger 150 is efficient with only faction gear.
And @OP for Jajaja’s Totem Warder build mention the following

If you look at all the top builds, most have items you can’t realistically attain like double rare MI’s with 2 specific affix/suffix.

P.S I never even mentioned Gladiator Crucible.
You can clear HC gladiator with my build using Krieg set+Decree of aldrich+Haunt relic+any 19%cdr offhand and random jewelry crap to fix resistance/stack hp.
Krieg set is obtainable in 12-20 hours depending on rolls, Decree is 4-8 hours.
Regardless of these guys being cheaters or not (well at least one of them is), your expectation is simply unrealistic. Trust me I hate 2x Stonehide of Kings as much as the next guy, however you can work around that and make a Crucible viable build without too much bullshit MIs most of the time.
Edit: Okay even Challenger requires some pretty decent build to farm efficiently, Aspirant on the other hand…
Its so easy to stack stun/poison/pierce/bledd resist now that you simply dont need Stonehide of kings anymore. Any build can be geared to meet Gladiator resistance requirment using only legendary+blue items.
Resistance is probably easier to cap than ever, however stun may still need some of Kings or Thunderstruck here and there, unless you want to throw Greaves of Ill Omen at any build.
We have Seal of resonance and %stun resistance balcksmith. And 80% is nice to have, but 60% is enough :roll:
Well if you exclude Gladiator difficulty then it makes more sense but even Challenger would require you to least have a solid build overall and least a full set of whatever your build focuses at.
Hate self promoting but check my last build i tried give an example of 0 rare build with mainly focusing on skills/devotions rather than items for Aspirant/Challenger.
Although there are still some instances need more variety, i found myself needing less of using rare/MI items post AoM… There are a lot means to cap your resistances with all the new stuff now.
Actually it’s that Octavius IT build, the concept is pretty much fool proof but the build was posted before Octavius helm could drop. I guess I’m a little salty cause I was given a fake one as well
