Recipes unlock for all characters?

Is it true that for a given mode (softcore versus hardcore) if you purchase and read a recipe that it will unlock for all of your future characters in your chosen mode (softcore or hardcore). Are there any exceptions of recipes that will not unlock for a different character?

I ask this to decide to purchase everything I see from every faction if I have the iron bits. If it unlocks for all time then of course I will proceed to purchase most any recipe I don’t have yet.

yes all blueprints are unlocked for all characters made in a given mode (HC/SC)

It is worth buying all recipes. In fact… eventually you’ll sell recipes that you get from quest rewards. As for drops blueprints you have won’t drop ever again on that mode. Unless you play in multiplayer and the other person doesn’t have that blueprint yet.
