I have to second this, PB already had good set and now in FG it gets an other fantastic set. IMO SS is an iconic skill from the nightblade mastery that is blast to use and deserve better support then it currently has.
I haven’t but I don’t think that would’ve mattered much. I’ve tested it on that crossbow with CDR too, but the damage is just not there. It’s just not.
I did test it in Crucible but in Main Campaign I think if you try it on AOM Nemeses you will end up being the one hunted.
Too much to ask from a simple blue set. It might end up being good for nothing that way like it is now. Just make it focus entirely on one thing. I don’t mind if it’s a Bleeding part by the way.
What you have listed it’s just a bunch of random items with Shadow Strike bonus on it. Helmet is especially bad for it since it has no cdr. I can list same random items with PB bonus on them.
I think if you want Pierce CD PB set, it has to be another set because it has to be a 2h-base for that.

Well, you can make a very good Bleeding Build with it. Yeah, the Sword isn´t great but the RR, the +2 to Nightblade and the boni to skills (including 8% OA) is definitely worth it.
Other Sets? Bloodrager. That´s all. No Nightblade Support. Bleeding Korba…nah.

Yes, I have made two SS build infiltrator before, one with N&O and the other RoH+SS. All of them may not be as good now.

1.7 sec PB + CT spam, 35% CDR, all the good cold procs with the freshly buffed leviathan with 1.3 sec CD. Downside is only low HP.
Thanks, I appreciate the effort but I do not want Cold PBlades + CT. I can understand damage type not bothering you but it does bother me - it determines 2nd mastery choice, what skills you pair alongside it and devotion/celestial power (and bindings) choice.
What does Pierce cd PBlades have? Out of it’s items, I would argue that only Moosilauke Pauldrons and M. Korvoran’s Chestguard are really significant. Bloodborer could do with more of a push to get there as it’s only significant stats are +1 to NB/Inq, a bit of OA and 60 damage to PBlades.
There are other pieces for Pierce PBlades that you could use but they would literally just be used as filler or add basically nothing/have competition (like Signet of the Fallen).

I don’t know about it having to be 2-handed, Fluff showed a long time ago that full Korba is capable of hitting 400k RoS crits in Campaign. Vileblade is also an ABB set and that only uses the off hand for ABB while dual wielding. If there was a set that was aimed at and had enough support for Pierce cd PBlades while dual wielding, I think it could work.

Honestly not all skills have to support all damage types equally. What however is important that the skills get support at all. You dismissing the need for SS support by comparing only 1 one damage type is rather disingenuous since PB has excellent support for both vitality and cold and SS lacks good support for even 1 damage type.
I mentioned above but my point is that Phantasmal Blades support is largely geared towards spamming it/stacking casting speed. There is some support for the cooldown variant but it is only for Cold or Bleed. I would like Pierce to have an actual identity to it.
Deathmarked used to support Cold/Pierce Shadow Strike but those bonuses were removed in favour of it being a straight up WPS attacker, perhaps it should gain those bonuses back.
