on another note @ASYLUM101 do you have the template file/folder you used for the mod. I have done the edits I wanted to do with density, but cannot build due to missing the D3 and other template files. I searched in the forums and all the links to the file seem to not be valid anymore you can PM me it if you don’t wan to have the link public. Thanks in advance.

I’m pretty new to all of this, but I’m loving the mod. I want to speed up the grind a bit so I can try different builds though. Is there any way to edit the mod on my end to boost exp, bits, etc?

Does someone know the difference between these difficulties:

Grimmer + grimmest
El Grimmest
Ul Grimmest

Because the ingame info doesn’t say much besides it more difficult.

Update: ok I was able to find the d3 template files, but I’m still missing the Grim Quest template files. Does anyone know where I could get these? Checked in the mod itself, but there are only the arz file for the mod and if it is packed like grimillion is unpacking doesn’t give the template files.

The only template file you should need is the expanded skill tree, all others are part of GD.

Ahh thanks, I’ll try to compile then. Last time I got those old school color channel test looking pictures as replacements for some of the classes haha.

Edit: tried to compile and ran into an interesting issue, after doing a fresh dump of the template files from the game and adding the D3 template files, apparently MonsterShrine.tpl is missing…?

Yes, looks like Crate has not updated the templates.arc in a while, the changes for 80 masteries also aren’t included yet.

You need Ashes of Malmouth and Forgotten Gods. If you don’t have the latest update, I don’t know what will happen but it might work? Maybe things will be weird but that’s on you for not updating. :wink:

Have you not played any other ARPG before, or at the very least, unmodded Grim Dawn? These difficulties make the game harder by reducing your resists and increases all enemy stats.

Unfortunately my quest editor doesn’t work so I can’t reword that line from Zeke.

So this results in more mobs spawning ? I guess given that it is a script which basically copies the existing mob rather than changing the spawn pools it actually does…

Looking through the code it just respawns the monster again, but it seems to limit the amount of spawns in the resource files so, basically it would spawn the monsters, but then would delete the objects that went over the max amount of spawns. That is how I’m reading it anyways, please someone tell me if I’m wrong.

*Reworked and renamed to instability. Now summons melee versions of the thorn sprites. Rework was necessary to function with the updated base skill and the new set that focuses on sprites.

*Reduces energy cost by 60%.

Sylvan Nymph:

So after the last patch I lost all my characters/stash and am having to rebuild. Is the Krieg armor set no longer available? I’ve been farming the three bosses for a while now and I’m not getting a hit. I’m thinking it may be because of the increased number of armor sets slowing things down, but just want to make sure I’m not wasting my time.

If you are referring to the last Grim Dawn update… you most likely didn’t lose your characters or stash. I’m guessing you have cloudsaving enabled? There’s a bit of a wonky bug with game updates that muddles the game’s cloudsaving settings. First, try making sure both cloudsaving settings match. There are two locations you need to check in - one is in the game settings and the other is in the Steam GD settings.

… the game will never delete your saves. Pretty much the only way that’s going to happen is if you experience a full system crash and experience data loss. Otherwise, the game has nothing in it that will delete your saves without your explicit permission to do so.
