[REL] Grimarillion v84

Hey guys!
Could someone help me out?
Grimarillion is really awesome, but I’d like either merge it with Better Levels mod if possible

or just impelement Bet Lev features into Grimarillion 67a+ (lev cap 250, dev cap 200, 5 SP per level, 3 AP per level, etc. see the Bet Lev description).
Spent tons of hours trying to do so by myself via built-in Asset Manager, but no use.
Would really appreciate if someone could do that! Maybe the second option (just modifying the 67a+) is easier than merging of two mods.

p.s. I just can’t comprehend why would anyone have this unbalanced mod. It gives 50 skill points at last level, but none between 126 and 249. How odd!

Hi there. Love the mod, but I’m wondering if there is a way to use new masteries in crusible?

There are no plans to make Crucible + Grimarillion. Too much work to mod it, too risky to play it, not worth it. You’re on your own if you want it.

v68 Changelog

*Fixed an issue where certain human enemies didn’t have animations with spears.
*Fixed an issue where Eldritch Armors didn’t have animations with spears.
*Added some temp names for a few custom Grimmest heroes that had no names.
*Added spawn script for devotion shrines (assuming you have increased spawn settings).

*Brought various devotions up to date.
*Fixed an issue with devotions not working properly with ternion attack. (spirit mastery)

*Brought various augments up to date.

*Adjusted some tooltips, stats like “Increases health regeneration by %” have been changed to read as “% Increased Health Regeneration”. Was bugging me to have some stats with % values on the right and others on the left, hopefully this isn’t confusing for anyone now.
*Recolored the text for certain areas on the world map to make them easily recognizable. Rogue Dungeons are red and “towns” to be olive/green. Not a necessary change but someone suggested it might be helpful.

Diablo 3
*Updated Diablo 3 content to 2.92, see the changelog here

Grim Quest

*Added 17 mythical versions of GQ amulets. Original GQ amulets have been reworked. (Rune of Najo, Ixion Stone, Crimson Gem, Aeon, Hygeia, Blessing of the Gods, Eye of Flame, Polaris, Cerberus’ Collar, Bronze Heart, Amulet of Morpheus, Aphrodite’s Favor, Essence of Styx, Myrmidon’s Pendant, Necklace of Harmonia, Pendant of Immortal Rage, and Shavo’s Relic)
*Added 12 GQ Medals, each with 4 variants for 48 total. (4 tiers, t1 = 25, t2 = 40, t3 = 65, t4 = 94) (Tier names are “lesser”, tier 2 has no name, tier 3 is “greater” and tier 4 is “Divine”)
*Added 9 GQ Belts, each with 4 variants for 36 total. (4 tiers, t1 = 30, t2 = 45, t3 = 65, t4 = 94) (Tier names are “lesser”, tier 2 has no name, tier 3 is “greater” and tier 4 is “Divine”)

Shield Charge:
*Updated animation and FX.

Spite - Blind Rage:
*Added the text for the tooltips. (did this never get added? Couldn’t find any old versions with it)

Distortion Wave - Ripple:
*Now works if you have a staff, offhand, or two handed weapon.

Psionic Touch - Premonition:
*Duration increased to 4 seconds.

Somnial Hex:
*Duration flattened to 6 seconds at all ranks.
*Cooldown reduced to 3 seconds.

Lightning Blast - Sky Fury:
*Tweaked scaling past rank 12 in hopes that it is more obvious that the skill continues to scale.


No previous versions necessary. Just drag and drop, backup your stuff just in case.

Known issues: I never got around to adding a button icon to the skill for Shavo’s Relic. So it will look like a blank. Oh well.

Second: I may be blind but I’m looking for a list of features that this mod brings. The link to the old tread is broken and in the description there are general infos. Do you have a complete list of features for the mod?

You can edit your thread title yourself now Asylum101 so can keep that updated as you update the mod itself.

Yep, I keep forgetting. I have a ton of shit to update still but no fucks or time to do it.

Everything contained in the mod is in the description in the OP. As I mentioned to Medea, I don’t have the fucks or time to keep everything updated. Grimarillion is a compilation of other mods, so whatever the other mods have - so does Grimarillion, there is no master list of stuff.

Um, not sure what’s going on here. Installed v68 and now I have a release world map as well as the Grimarillion one.

Using release seems to partially reset all my Grim characters - see this. First is with Grimarillion world map, second is with the release world map.

looks like the folder has the wrong name, creating a new mod with the database still being grimarillion.arz and since the ARZ needs to be the same name as the mod the game can’t find it.

assuming the folder name is all that’s wrong - you should be fine copying the contents of release over to grimarillion (in order to play the new release until asylum gets the time to update the download)

Yeah, that could be it WareBare. I didn’t get the overwriting of files I usually do and looking in the mod section I have a release folder separate from Grimarillion.

Um, copied over the folders, but still have a release world map and also the skill window looks like the old one so not sure if that should change or not.

There must be release.arc or release.arz, just delete it and copy all from release folder inside zip to mods/grimmarilion.

I’m playing well just by removing the old mod and renaming “release” to “grimarillion”.

yes, the dir name in the .zip is incorrect. What you did is the correct fix for it.

The contents (database/resources folders) are the important part of the zip files, the containing folder not so much. I had to make some space on my hard drive since all the old release files were stacking up and I made the mistake of not cleaning them up earlier, so I wiped the old “release” folder, and forgot to add the grimarillion root folder to eliminate the confusion. :roll_eyes:

Next update I’ll remember to fix that
