Hello!
Champion’s aura-toggle ability “Redemption” isn’t select-able in devotions like other aura-toggle type skills such as “Conviction”
How much DPS do those builds manage to gain since as far as I can tell, there is no tank or even healing abilities available?
Is that one of those skills that already has an auto casted “celestial ability”?
Oh, yeah! Disregard I guess. =)
No, modded ones.
And I used a sword as example, it seems to be with most “upper quality stuff” to be this way.
Very, VERY peculiar.
Now, for a screenshot I have an issue, I got nothing either green, blue or set to compare one with the other, which is of the same level.
Suffice to say, if I were to equip a similar blue item, I’d loose a lot in stats…
So basically, I just should stay with yellow gear then?
I got quite a few green, let’s just, for simplicities sake, keep it about 1-hand weapons for a Warfare/Soldier, that I sold just because it was utterly useless due to better gear on me.
And some of this yellow stuff is (quite) lower in level.
The few blue items just the same (save for an amulet level 25 that I still use on lvl 36).
Quite bloody odd.
Ah, the Satyr.
Yes I encountered him, but he’s DARNED high level requiring.
So, not quite what i can use atm…
That’s OK, I can be quite the arse myself. grins
Hmmm, think you could create a few Warfare items?
As in, not skill based, but damage/combat speed based with high base damage (but in a way, it is NOT OP, that it is actually balanced), as I do not use skills, I boost my strength, look for base damage and added damage, and just go whacking/dying.
I admitedly am not the tankiest, rofl.
I do not mind a good death, as long as I can take a few with me…
Guess i stayed far to long on Q’onos…
Correct!
These are special types of toggleable skills, you CAN use base toggleables in pairs, but only ONE special one.
Which in itself is quite logical, these are “epic” skills.
Xogroroth666, I think you may have these mistaken with exclusive skills. =) The two in question I was speaking about… one came automatically with a devotion attached to it, making it not usable in the tree. I detail missed on my part. =)
Ah, my apologies.
I have autism, Aspergers…
I dare to miss things here and there…
Witch Doctor + Storm: The Witch Doctor pets are fire and forget - Dogs you summon 4 at once and they’re on a short cooldown. Tiki Warriors with the Zunimassa Set has something like 10 second cooldown and 100 second duration - they’re quasi-permanent pets and it doesn’t matter if they can’t tank. I won’t be able to provide exact numbers at this time, but this build was one of my faster builds in terms of DPS / dummy reset.
Guardian’s Gate Necro Skellies + Storm: Hybrid player stats / pet stats builds are always a challenge since you’re building for both yourself and pets; they’re obviously a tier below regular summoner builds or player pets, but I post them because people like to have the challenge. Skellies are the “Resummon is the new heal” type and with 20/12 Undead Legion, it’s only 3 seconds or so before you can summon more, not to mention Time Dilation to summon 6 at once. They die quickly and resummon quickly, but you’re supposed to help out with 100-250K Bone Harvest casts not to mention you have 2 Reap Spirits + 3 Bound Spirits fighting with you as well.
Player Healing is Corruptor’s Set proc + 24% ADCTH before Bloodthirster, Bat bound to Ravenous Earth, then Ghoul + Bloodthirster + MoT if things get dicey. This is one of my squishiest builds (Iron Maiden in particular is a real PITA), but I did it more for the challenge of building around Corruptor’s than anything else.
I am considering building a second Storm / Necro around Reap Spirit if you’re looking for a more sturdier build. I’ll see how much of my compendium I can get through.
Champion + Storm Army of None: Army of None is player-scaled, so if your Army pets die, you can just out-tank the enemy with 12/10 Charging skill and ridiculous passives that hit for 500% Weapon Damage. Relic is Menhir’s Bastion with +Champion skills, so between that healing ability and 550 Health Regen, you have no problems tanking through things.
Do you make items as well, then?
I don’t make anything that is impossible to obtain playing legitimately, but I am the type of player that much prefers to take multiple build concepts / ideas and use tools to see how well they work rather than go through the Skinner-box and fight battle after battle desperately hoping that the one item you need in order to complete your build concept drops. Usually, I take a concept such as “how can this skill be used to its maximum potential, or how can I make the most of a particular Legendary weapon?” and use the rest of the equipment / devotions to build around that concept.
My guides list my build objectives / ideas in the beginning of each post. For example, my Witch Doctor / Storm pet build was designed around the D3 Zunimassa set, and I don’t have the luxury of time to be able to obtain the full set just playing the game. Some people are sticklers about “oh I got these items legit,” so I intentionally say upfront I don’t care about that type of thing so people don’t get on my case when they see a green item with a very specific prefix / suffix combo. I do my best to help out players who want to try a build using items they can obtain themselves, but I have a lot of ideas to explore and very little time to do them.
If a skill functions properly, then getting the “one-in-a-million” items that synergize with the concept perfectly should make the build slightly OP, and function perfectly well with items people can reasonably obtain. If a build needs those “one-in-a-million” items just to function normally, then either the build was designed as more of a challenge build not meant to compete with the standards (my Necromancer + Storm that uses Bone Harvest with Raise Skeletons is an example of that), or the skill is underpowered and needs a buff. The devs are very good and responsive about working on skills that could use improvement, but they need players to test things out fully so they’re not making changes ham-fisted
I sadly have a different issue… Time I got plenty being a cripple, but PATIENCE???
I’ve got the patience of an autistic Sith Lord, and the temper of a Krayt dragon in heat, me wife says, sadly.
I did not intend, as you so eloquently put it, to be on your case.
I have no intention of making any form of judgement.
If you do this, it is in your good right to do so, good Sir.
The reason why I asked is, what tool do you use to create a specific item?
How does that work?
And, how do you implement that item into the game?
One of the things I was pondering about was trying some builds, which is why, in a different topic, I asked how to change the name so I could just use backups renamed of my 32 level character, so I do not need to start over again and again and again and… well you get the drift.
But I’d like to test a few things, previously I spoke of yellow gear outperforming green and blue by TONS, someone asked for screens, but I do not have equal level green nor blue, to show them.
Now, if I made a level 50 character, put him in a set, and then into yellow gear I get (without him leveling, ofc, as that would defeat the whole point) from the game, I can actually prove my statement.
But to get a full set is… madness… time wise.
By the time I get my first blue set peace, I probably have choked me PC to extreme death… :S
So, yeah, how to?
Thank you aforehand, Sir.
Simple - GDStash.
http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23414
In the crafting window you can make any item you want and then just put it in the transfer stash for your characters to access.
hi i like your mod so much!!
but there is a bug!! take a look at the Wizard class skill, there is a skill named Magic weapon, when activated, your all resistance will be decreased A LOT! please fix these, i dont want to abondon that powerful skill, thx!
yours Ryan
What? It’s a modifier, just dont unlock it lol
Could you walk me through it?
I have Skype, FarceBook, Discord, i can install others if needed?
See, in my case, as mentioned afore, I got this issue with most for some unknown reason when in Grimellion…
If not, well, that be OK, Sir.
Thank you.
The instructions are on the first page of the link, but it’s pretty simple.
Install a Java64 virtual machine, then download GDStash and install it. Open it up and set the paths needed to access the game then import the database. After that you should be good to go.
OK, I loaded my character, but, the stash does not load, and gives a wrong one, for instance.
I can edit my character, but i do not want to alter base stuff.
Adding to the incorrect stash seems… crazy… as this likely will kill my character?
Corrupt it, i mean?
I fail to get which stash it loads, anywhere.
None of my characters have what is shown…
there are two save dirs, one for local files, one for cloud saves. If you do see ‘old’ chars then chances are you are looking at the wrong dir.
If you use cloud save, only edit files while GD is not running.
Well, the inventory shown, as said, belongs to NO one?
EDIT: Got it…
Thank you.
Remember if switching between the ordinary game and Grimarillion you need to change the settings in each section of the Stash so the right stashes show up.
