[REL] Grimarillion v96

Thank you so much :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

There is still an issue with the current dialogue text of the summoning stone in Eternal . When I switch to my language, I cannot find the Upper Pantheon from the Challenge the Gods options. And the Lower Pantheon is fine. English works normally.

Is there still a problem with the extracted text? I also found duplicate entries in the new file you provided.

Even in English , the order of the dialogue text is incorrect, as shown in the following screenshots down below:

I also found these duplicates strange. However, even when viewed in ConversationEditor, this is how it appears. So the text itself should be correct. Still, since it’s different in the game, this text will have to be changed. To investigate this, I’ll have to check it while actually playing the game, so it will likely take some time.

okay.thx a lot.take your time

The “duplicates” exist for non-faction versions, so players who aren’t enemies of the respective faction can fight that nemesis. Not sure if that helps with translation, but in the conversation only one will show up depends on what faction a player has

Thanks for the advice. If that’s the case, then it shouldn’t be a problem if some parts of summoning_stone.txt overlap. In any case, I’d like to actually play the game and see how it differs from the English version.

The current translation method is to align each line of the translation with the original text, so I really don’t understand why there is a situation where the dialogue text disappears.
Localization files :
summoning_stone.txt (5.6 KB)
_eternal_mq.txt (1.1 KB)

I’ve figured out what was causing the display issues.

When localizing mods, conversation (cnv) and quest (qst) won’t be recognized properly unless they’re placed in the root directory. I had forgotten this and placed _eternal_mql.txt in the grimarillion folder, which is why it wasn’t displaying correctly. I’ve moved the Eternal quest text to the root directory and recreated the translation files, so please check them. I’m sorry for wasting your time.

Dont say that. I appericate your patience.I will test it as qucikly as I can.Thx.

I’d like to report a few issues I noticed.

Eternal:

  1. The term that should be “Eternal Shards” appears as “Eterneum” starting on line 54. (summoning_stone.txt)

  2. Regardless of the time it takes to complete the quest, it always displays “Clear Time -more then five minutes!” It doesn’t reflect the actual completion time at all. (tags_eternal_time.txt)

  3. In rare cases, an invincible creature appears, making it impossible to clear the stage.
Example: Brother Segarius, Vengeance of Kymon

  4. Even if I beat the game on the “Eternal difficulty" level, it resets when I end the game session. But for some reason, only “Mogdrogen” is marked as in progress.

  5. Effects such as “Aetherial Stormbearer” and “Callagadra’s Entropic Void” persist even after the boss is defeated and cannot be removed with the Cleansing Sphere. They will disappear if I reset the session, but, of course, Luna’s Blessing will also be lost - this is tough.

Zenith set item:

  1. Item ID error: tags_zenithsets.txt: tagZESetD003Shoulder01Name
    00 zenith tag not

  2. Color code is missing from the item descriptions.
    tags_zenithsets.txt - tagZESetD002ItemBluntSkill01Desc

Eternal:

  1. Yeah originally the material was intended to be eterneum, but I changed it after Crate revealed an item called Eterneum so I didn’t want there to be any confusion. Just tedious to update the conversation editor data using the official tool and sometimes things get overlooked. You called it a text file, how do you view/edit these files?
  2. Known issue, not really sure I know how to fix it.
  3. I need to know specific enemies to investigate this. Generally this is due to faction conflicts.
  4. Eternal Difficulty levels, hmmm will have to look into it, not sure.
  5. I haven’t been able to identify why these entities are spawning and not despawning, I don’t know where they even come from. Are these the official names of these entities? That’s helpful if they are. EDIT: I don’t think it’s the ones you listed. Callagadra’s pets have a duration, and Stormbearer doesn’t have pets at all, just a projectile.

The issue likely stems from an extra ‘s’ in a text tag, or perhaps a missing ‘s’ in the corresponding tag within the .dbr file.

问题应该出在文本中标签里多写了一个‘s’,或者说dbr中标签里少写了一个‘s’。

To use conversation and quest files as translation files, you need to convert them into text files containing only the text portions.

I am using this tool to create the content; since it allows you to view a list of just the text, it might serve as a useful reference when making edits using the official tool. :grinning:

The original file is “summoning_stone.cnv,” which is located inside “_eternal.arc.”
As Carson_N says, the text was extracted for translation using YveOne’s
“Arc Tools” and laozhangggg’s “Quests and Conversations Extraction Tool GUI.”

I don’t know the official name, but it’s a type of boss pet that sometimes remains even after I defeat the boss, until you complete the game. I’ll look into points 4 and 5 a little more.

Yes, we can correct that part in the translation as a temporary measure.

Besides the issues you guys mentioned, the problem of the disappearance of dialogue texts for summoning Upper Pantheon has been resolved.

Regarding the issue where the “Increase Eternal difficulty level” option has “Mogdrogen” checked by default. My friend Carson_N has created a character save file that reproduces the issue, so please give it a try.

When you talk to the Summoning Stone and select “Increase Eternal difficulty level,” the “Active Quests” list is reset and the next level’s quests begin, but only Mogdrogen is checked by default.

About pets that remain even after the boss dies:
There are a few of them, and Carson_N filmed one of them in a video, so please check it out.
This is the Whirlwind summoned by Pavros Undylon.

Others:

I haven’t come across any immortal creatures yet. Since this is a very rare issue, you probably don’t need to worry about it.

Thanks for the info I’ll watch those clips when I get home

EDIT: All those enemies share the same death proxy, which has a chance to create that Whirlwind. Normally when summoned, the Whirlwinds aren’t permanent but through the death proxy, they aren’t summons anymore. Anyway, should be fixed for the next update. The proxy will now expire after being near the player for 20 seconds.

If you see any others let me know, this should fix enemies that spawn this particular whirlwind which is at least 4-5 heroes

Request: Augury Card (The Unstoppable) → change it from always awarding a lightning damage variant to a random damage type.
