Resistance Reductions

Do all sorts of resist reduction stack multiplicatively or can it happen that one instance gets ignored?
In particular I am looking at following Blademaster setup for Pierce res reduction:

  • Plaguebearer’s Derm. Slicer: -15%
  • Mask of Delirium Actice Skill: -20%
  • Black Star of Deceit: -15%
  • Night’s Chill: -30%
  • Assassin’s Mark; -28%

Does this result in a total res reduction of -70.86% ?

This is the thread about mechanics - I believe the 2nd post contains an in-depth explanation of how RR works. You can only have one source of flat (i.e. Black Star) but other forms (-33% “n” resist) typically stack.

Plaguebearer’s, Mask of Delirium and Black Star of Deceit flat RR don’t stack. The highest amount will be applied, the other two ignored.

Oh, I see. Thanks for the help!

It could look like this:

Plaguebearer’s: -15 flat RR
Essence of Ch’thon Weapon Augment: -15% Reduced target’s Res
Assassin’s Mark: -28% Pierce Res
Night’s Chill: -30% (or a bit more) Pierce Res

Total: -88 Pierce Res

Or, with Manticore -25 flat RR, in total -98 Pierce Res.
