Respeccing Devotions a bad idea?

Hi all! I started this game through a friend of mine a little while ago, and just picked things I liked as I went along, ending up with a 2h ranged Aether/Pet Ritualist. However, having just hit lvl 50, My dmg outpit is beginning to seem a bit lackluster, so I’m wanting to respect to Vitality Pet Ritualist. Now my question is this: I’ve got 2 constellation skills I’ve already got a bunch of xp in (Aetherfire and Shepherd’s Call). If I respec my devotions, will I then be screwed in the long run since I have less overall xp to put toward my ‘new’ constellation skills?

Not really. Devotions don’t stop gaining experience even when your character does, meaning you can hit levelcap and then continue to level your Devotions to max.

So sure, in the immediate future you may be a little bit weaker, but it’s better to have Devotions that fit your character than not!
