Hey guys, I am looking to create an ultimate viable retaliation focused commando and looking for advice…how much points to invest in which skills, stat/attribute point distribution and above all devotions and the sequence in which to take them…
any help is appreciated
Please note that I dont want one of those warder style “very weak vs ranged” builds and I’ve been told demolitionist is the way to go instead of shaman…if there is a better second mastery to achieve this than demolitionist please do tell
It doesn’t have to be weak vs ranged. You can make it hybrid so some extent and deal with various mobs. There are enough skill points to do that as long as you’ve maxed bulwark, temper, shield training and overguard (and a +5 blast shield). Max deadly momentum and mix in cadence and blitz. Reckoning relic is pretty cool with high block chance. Also max Counter strike. It’s amazing after patch 0.7, it will kill all lesser mobs in a radius and give loads of retaliation.
I can kill anything quickly with this build. But let me tell you only Overlord Van Aldritch is the one who refuses to die.
Unlike most hybrid builds where either retaliation is compromised, or reflection is compromised to get stronger vs ranged this build doesn’t compromise anywhere (Well you have less hp than warders).
This build has high retaliation, reflection and can Counter-hit hard (non-retaliation damage meant for non-melee enemies like Valdaran)
1.Ulzuin wrath is bad idea for realiation cause it knoks foes down so they don’t hit you. Also you are doing Pierce/phys retaliation not fire or lightning.
Points moved in Field command, You need DA and OA
Agonizing flames is used bcause in my mind why not make Both your attacks and retaliation numbers more potent? Assassin’s mark is used for the same reason.
Devotions also hybridized (if that is even a word:) ). Retaliation and damage and some OA. Dire bear in Blitz. Assasin’s mark on cadence or Cocktail. If you want put 3 more points in cocktail fro radius.
This is how i intend to play my hybrid
Edit:And remove that point from markovian advantage, it’s won’t change anything
