I’ve murdered quite a number of Rift Scourges and they always seem to drop the Claw for me. Is it just me or am I extremely unlucky that hours upon hours on end and not a single Slicer drops?
RNG is a fickle mistress.
Simply restart the game, that will change a few variables in the game’s randomization algorithm.
As opposed as to what many players believe, there is no such thing as randomness in a game. The ‘randomness’ is calculated, just like anything else in the game, while using more or less constantly changing seed numbers, such as the amount of steps you have taken or the current system time or maybe some number calculated the moment you start the game.
Whatever type it is, it can skew the randomness of the engines random number generation, making some results more or less likely than they should be.
So if a relatively common item doesn’t drop after hours, it’s most likely not because you are unlucky, but simply because the required numbers are either not achievable with the current seeds or reduced to a too unlikely amount.
