Ring of steel - Reaver

I set out to do a bleed build, turned into hybrid pierce/bleed when I found the set and wanted to build around it, ended up being like 80% pierce 20% bleed on the sheet when all was said and done. But you do get a lot of extra bleed damage building up from RoS and devotions that the sheet doesn’t show.

Your playing this so obviously you know how it feels but I think:

  • you are over invested in blade spirit
  • invest in open wounds (couldn’t see a damaged reduced modifier - I might be wrong)
  • consider ‘band of the merciless’ you are looking at rings already I think
  • I put on steel bloom it yielded a slight increase in flat damage at the expense of DA
  • if you could fit bards harp it would help with energy and you can remove points from impulse (example with harp Reaver, Level 100 (GD 1.3.0.5) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator (capped stun+slow resists) or more like yours Reaver, Level 100 (GD 1.3.0.5) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator (battle surge should help energy)
  • i like battle surge to about 8-10 pts

Blade Spirit wants to hit the 4x summons at 24 points because the Blind Rage bleed proc stacks from all four of them. I honestly didn’t mind having it capped at 26 either when I was using the second blue ring, the damage increase per point is pretty big when you consider that it gets multiplied by four, one for each summon.

Living Shadow devotion proc has 22% reduced damage, so I skipped Open Wounds.

Impulse gives crit damage, max movement speed, trap and slow resist. All of it seems useful to me.

Battle Surge doesn’t look that good to me. For one point you get 27% health every 5.5 seconds, the next point just reduces that to 5.1 seconds. I think eventually the health gain starts going up too? But it just seems like a lot of investment for minimal gains. I have PB, RC, and my potion to press for health, plus mega ADCtH with the Bloodlust proc.

Definitely not used to having my energy bar crushed like this with any of the older builds I played. But hitting the energy pot on CD is enough to sustain, don’t think I have to rework any items/devotions/skills around it. And with the damage absorb potion modifier, I want to be pressing it as often as possible anyway.

Definitely had the new ring you mentioned on my list of items to look at. Unfortunately, I need at least one of the blue rings to make Blade Spirit reach the +4 summons threshold. I’ll probably test that one out in the other ring slot though soon, it does look really good.

It looks like the altar was never intended to impact crafting rerolls, so the MIs might unfortunately be fantasy-land territory now. I guess I got lucky when I initially crafted them with ~30 Ashes. Blew through > 200 last night trying to make extra copies for seed rerolling, and only hit one affix out of the ten slots.
