So apparently anybody can do this, while ignoring cunning. I’ve seen builds with insane DPS, 2300-2400 DA, 3000 OA, tons of health and maxed resists.
I didn’t think you could fit all that into the same build while ignoring cunning. Do people just stack a lot of +% cunning? Where is it all coming from? I’ve got tons and tons of BiS quality gear, hundreds of legendaries banked from going on 2000 hours of play, but my stats are never anywhere near that all on the same character (ie if i get heavy DA i have lower OA, lower health, etc).
Also seeing characters with stats like 1100, 400, 800, seems like more total stat points than i get even in full legendary setups. Just not sure what i’m missing
Not to say that i don’t have my MVP toons who are crushing ultimate/crucible/mad queen etc, but they NEVER have stats that good. i always have to make a sacrifice somewhere-
Exactly this, as example 1 attribute point spent in cunning (8 cunning) will net you ~5 OA. So even if you go full cunning you would still have to stack some OA from other sources to get some nice over 3k amounts in most cases.
I have to post this, its an old picture when I was still overevaluating importance of OA, my first all content farming character, hit and run poison dot DEE WH
No, it plateaus around 30% (and you get that much on bosses with 3000-ish). It still improves crit damage, but that’s cheaper to get via stuff like Attuned Lodestone, Hawk constellation etc.
A good rule for OA is: under 2200 is too low, over 3200 is too high.
i have never seen a mob drop its own legendary, outside the final boss of BoC and that hammer sucks lol. I take it you just farm Sentinel for that? he doesn’t want to drop it for me.
So seeing this i learned something. Pick up every green item!!! Don’t ignore an item just because it’s not - “Stonehide, Incorruptible, Tyrant’s, Sinister, Heart-Piercing, Frostborn, Glacial, Plaguebearer, Overlord’s”
R.I.P resistances
I never try to stack anything beyond 3k OA. I found it pretty pointless if my crit multiplier is low. But if it’s a blade arc build, or that AAR build i think OA is the way to go
And just like you focusing on the offense, i focused on defensive stacking, but it’s never enough (I don’t know if it’s forbidden or something, but does anyone mind sharing this guy’s OA?, he has almost 100% hit chance even when your character has around 3k DA)
Getting high OA and DA isn’t hard on a char. Now crossing the 3k mark (which i personally find to be pointless) is though. You need insane MIs and need to know when you need %OA and when you need flat OA. Most chars that lack these i see them having flat OA but not much %OA to support it and vice-versa
This was way back when i had started the game and the forums was filled with posts about insane crits from a Cronley Thug who cosplays like a Nightblade. So i farmed the negative rep and went looking for him, this was on a warlock mind you. The damage i took was 2.5 times my max hp (25k). See the picture why i stack defenses?
