Runes and Kudos

I lost the original post I made but wanted to reiterate/ask if we could eliminate runes that benefit combat/troops when playing in passive mode. They serve no use when playing in passive and we can’t sell them. I can’t see why this wouldn’t be an easy check in terms of code.

Beyond that…I continue to be amazed at the level of engagement the team has with the player base, and seeing how far the game has come. Rock on, guys…you’re all awesome.

(My original post regarding the same was back in Oct of 2023)

These relics can still be useful if you play in pacifist and you want to trigger an attack once your town is fully built and defended in peace, using a specific mod.

I was recently attacked by 173 raiders, 4 rams and 2 catapults from 3 different directions, though 2 were side by side they had two arrows pointing at them. Massive damage but they only stole 30+ flour. I don’t need to use a relic. I am now extending and doubling my stone walls and building 2 more Cavalry buildings, to wit, why don’t they have archers if they have an area radius?

With all due respect, I’m posting about something specific to the vanilla. My current playthrough, again in passive mode, has now excavated seven ruin areas, and only one of the runes can be applied given all the rest apply to troops/combat, which I don’t have. Essentially, I’ve exhausted nearly every ruin area that is ‘currently visible’ (and I’m fully extended/explored on two sides) only to end up with something I can’t use, nor can I sell. While I’m sure the devs are aware of the use of mods, they shouldn’t have to be used to ‘correct’ what I perceive as something that was just overlooked. I don’t necessarily want to overstep and say it’s a ‘bug’ because obviously I don’t know the intent of the devs and this may be something that can be of use down the road.

I fully respect the info shared in your post, but it would likely be better served in its own thread where your question can actually get better eyes on it, versus it being buried in an unrelated post/thread.
