I received this game as a gift from a friend. We have separate Steam accounts, but I seem to be seeing his saved files as my game LOAD options. I can even load his games and play them. Additionally, I haven’t yet been able to load and play any of my own files from the place where I saved them.
To save, I am going to SAVE from the option in the upper right and selecting one of the auto-save files when I save. Do I need to create a custom file to have it save appropriately?
Are you using the same PC to play the game? Where is the My Documents folder on your PC and on his if you’re playing on different machines?
As well as the autosaves you can also click on the empty space which will call up your town name and then click on Save at the top of that window to make a manual save.
