After updating to 0.8, existing saves are no longer recognized with a ‘no saves found’ message on the title screen load menu.
However, examining the Documents > My Games > Farthest Frontier > Saves folder, all files are still present.
When creating a new game and saving it, this save file is retained after closing out and restarting the game, but is not located in the same folder as the rest of the legacy saves…
Where is the new save located?
Unable to find it in any of the common locations, file explorer search can’t locate it either
Do you use OneDrive?
I do, and the original save files were located in OneDrive
Aha, looks like the folder finally got indexed!
So I have two SSD drives on this computer and the game is installed on drive D.
Apparently it has now generated a new path for saves on drive D which it had never done previously, D:\My Games\Farthest Frontier\Save\
Previously all save data was located on Drive C:\
Based on all the issues people have had with OneDrive misplacing, relocating, and in some cases losing their saves, I’d generally recommend not using it for frontier saves.
Sounds good. Moving the saves over to this new location fixed the issue, I’ll disable it for the impacted folders going forward.
