Seal of Corruption feels weird to cast without a cooldown.

Ill Omen feels pretty good with a CD. I got Seal of Corruption’s Aether Corruption today and the skill having no CD feels pretty weird now. I wonder how people feel who are used to use Bloody Pox?

Edit: It is partially because of the new casting behaviour, that the skill feels weird without a cooldown.

me too bro. I’m confused now and worrying of my energy cost.
I don’t know how it works so cannot make up my mind to forge one. It’s expensive after all. Hope someone can explain it for us

Problem, the way i see it, is that you have to target one mob exactly, no minimal imprecisions allowed. Plus the skill doesn’t have any animation except the mark over the enemy’s head to let you know it delivered. Short range too is a problem with the new casting system, which i generally like btw.

For me it mainly feels weird because I just can’t see the effect over all the other effects of my Deathknight. That in addition to the missing cooldown makes me always wonder if the spell even went through.

It does not feel weird to use for me, but if the spell could pick the nearest target (in a small radius) when you cast it on the ground by mistake that would be great. Same for Mark of Torment and Storm Box of Elgoloth.

it’s not lack of a CD that makes it weird, Haunt is exactly the same way, so is CoF and Bloody Pox. It’s the fact that you can’t cast it on the ground in an area like similar abilities.

it has to be cast ON on a mob specifically, because this is NOT an AOE ability. it is a single target ability that spreads.

I agree. Same thing has been bugging me about Bloody Pox. I believe these kinds of skills would feel better to use if they had a small AoE, and a visual to go along with it. With all the effects constantly going off it’s nigh on impossible to see if you hit the target with the skill, meaning I’ll spam it a couple of times just to be sure.

Small AoE + Easily distinguishable cast effect + Short CD

Might be too much to ask for, though.
