Good afternoon fellow players. I come to these forums once again to ask for opinions and help. I have been away for the game for a few months and came back wanting to play a sort of paladin sword and board character (i recently got into D&D and I’m in love with Paladins). I know there are deathknight builds that are very good but I want something on the lighter side of things. So I ask of you: what would be a good paladin build? Warder? Commando? Tactician? Purifier maybe?

I think with Witch Blade and Markovian Set + Sword of Beronath you will be pretty much classical sword and board paladin. Plus it would be a pretty strong (albeit boring for some) build.
EDIT: Another option is Tactician and Octavius set, although it’s more for Forcewave/scepter-hammer kind of char.

Witchblade won’t cut it for me personally since it requires occultist. I’m purposedly avoiding death knight and witchblade in favour of less “dark” themed characters. Roleplaying reasons one might say. But thanks for the repplies!
Well, Tactician is your choice then. Less suitable for Cadence tho.
I tried looking online for a tactician build but fell short since I can’t find either one that uses sword and board (or mace and shield, I can allways use the illusionist) or is not an Octavious set warder. Anyone has a tactician build I could look at to take some ideas? Mainly devotions I guess
