A long time ago I had a Lucius spellbinder and had fun with it. Recently found (what I think) is a very nice blade-arm so decided to try Mage Hunter this time around. I am having a blast playing it and just got to 94 and would like advice on gearing and skill min/maxing.
I generally charge in, use word of renewal and pain, drop a seal, use callidor to bomb packs, and then swing on the mobs. Tougher enemies I just repeat the rotation until they are dead.
My resist are too high as I just used some greens in the stash to get my resists up and filled in components and augments as I could. it’s a bit of a mess…
Any advice on greens to hunt for rings and pants would be great. I started without any greens (other than the weapon) but my pants and rings had minimal resists and meeting hitting the overcaps was difficult. I generally follow other builds so my experience at determining an end game setup is minimal. Thank you for any advice!
Swing on the mobs with 100% weapon damage? You should only use Callidor since it’s more damage. Other fillers possible with Aether Lucius MH is Reaping Arc or Flames of Ignaffar but it’s better to focus on just one.
I’m not sure Behemoth is worth it without other sources of Health Regen. But definitely get Revenant for Resistance Reduction, additional damage from skeleton and stats.
Not greens but rather Magelord Blue ring set or Band of Eternal Haunt for RR I think
Agree with all of the above advice, especially the Reaping Arc part. I would drop Callidor completely and shift those points to word of renewal line and Horn of Gandarr for damage reduction.
Also make sure you use flat aether damage augments on rings and weapons.
Another thing I noticed is you’re trying to get Elemental res overcap without including Inquisitor’s Seal bonus. I think it’s fine if you have 0% overcap / 80% Elemental Res w/o Seal.
I also didn’t notice you use Callidor’s with transmuter. It’s probably better to just use spam Callidor w/o transmuter if you want to use CT. Or maybe transmuted CT + Reaping Arc.
This is my Rune of Hagarrad + Reaping Arc btw but it’s a fantasy build with +5 RoH Badge of Mastery: Mage Hunter, Level 100 (GD 1.2.0.5) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator I have a non-fantasy 2h Aether RoH + filler too somewhere but with that 2h Epic sword that gives +2 to Mage Hunter instead of Lucius.
