Should Beastkin (+ Riftspawn combined?) be their own faction?

You know, for more things hating you and spawning extra heroes/nemesis.

I think the logic is that they are too uncivilized to form any sort of faction/alliance with one another.

You are not the first to ask, but the designers decided to leave them factionless.

Beasts are the conglomeration of all the animal types in the game. They are not an organized group, they do not represent some shared ideals.

If you kill a boar in the Broken Hills, why would a Spider in Burrwitch care? How would it even hear about it?

If that isn’t sufficient for you, the other reason is time. This game has to be finished some day, and adding yet another faction into the mix is not a trivial task.

For similar reasons, why would Beastkin band together?

The trolls might care about some things, I.E other trolls and their useful animals, but otherwise I suppose your right.

If there were sub-factions within an overall Beastkin faction, maybe it could work, but, that’s a whole hell of a lot of work to do, not to mention, some beasts only spawn in certain areas, so grinding them to nemesis would be a bitch.
