So how does proc work? Is it a flat damage boost for your weapon damage attacks? Or is it a projectile like proc?
Silly and lazy answer: all I’ve seen of Iskandra relic is when crafting Ignaffar. But by the looks of it it’s probably a buff. The description reads “surge of power” so…
It’s a buff.
What a silly relic then. A buff that only applies to weapon damage attacks but relic can only be used with caster’s off-hand. What kind of build would ever use that crap?
Perhaps in a future patch crate could be persuaded to get rid of the limitations:)
I’ve used it a few times on a Callidor’s character that focuses on dealing as much Fire damage as possible or as much Cold as possible. Conversion from Cold->Fire such as Warpfire or the reverse mean you can get an ok amount of flat damage out it. Almost as much crit damage and more % damage as Hungering Void is also awesome as well.
Callidors was basically the only use for it pre-expansion but nowadays though, there are more caster skills with weapon damage or ways of giving weapon damage to ones that lack it opening up more possibilities.
That said though, I’d still like to see it get slightly buffed - the downtime on the proc isn’t great and it’s odd that it’s missing out Lightning/is not Elemental.
I used it pre-AoM for my burning sorc. Achieved 300k ticks on dummy.
