{Skill Suggestion} Skill tree

I was wondering,
Could it be possible to add more skills like, Dreeg’s reproach or Tainted power to all the Skill Trees?
To allow for some additional build options, that dont necessarily work together at the moment.

Possible? Probably. It would be a shit ton of work though to rebalance everything. Would also probably mean giving more skill points which means raising the level cap. Crate have never really touched the exisiting masteries once they’ve been released except for tweaks here and there. A few got changed very early on in development, but since then they’ve left them alone. A better option would be adding such skills via items as already happens. I can’t see Crate making such major changes to the game at this late stage of it’s development.

It’s not unheard of for new transmuters to be added/reworked post-release. Grenado and Canister Bomb’s transmuters very recently underwent revision, and Fire Strike’s transmuters were added in 1.0.0.5.

Transmuters aren’t really that demanding of skillpoints either.

I was also thinking along the lines of Ceno. However I had not considered, that there would need to be deeper balancing requirements.

Item skill modifiers exist for this. Many of them are essentially “transmuters on an item” as a way of making those items unique or so that they enable a specific kind of playstyle or combination of skills.

While some of them perhaps could go on the mastery trees, not nearly all of them would be able to due to the sheer amount and variety. Deciding which ones would go on is also not easy.

That said, I’m not particularly fond of the idea of throwing transmuters out left and right at this point. Some of the ones that have been introduced in the past that Ceno mentioned have been to address niche builds/complaints from the community (e.g. the Fire Strike transmuters came about due to complaints about 2h Fire Strike indirectly being made weaker) or to make them more viable as a sidegrade (e.g. Skyfire Grenado used to where Shattering Blast is now and was not nearly impactful enough).
