…Any reason not to, from mechanical stand point? I see no “must have” unique quest rewards such as skillpoints.
I see the point in doing the content in Normal/Veteran, to activate the reputation bars for the new factions. Epic drop rate, on the other hand, feels middling compared to ultimate drop rates, and AoM is a notable difficulty spike that for no noticeable reward relative to Ultimate.
Well, after defeating Loghorrean you can go straight into ultimate without doing any AoM content. Unless you’re asking for personal opinions, then I can’t help you there since I haven’t done the content myself yet.
Well, I don’t know, depends on circumstances. The most blunt reason is experience&reputation from quests and devotion points.
Is Elite AoM really as hard as Ultimate?
You get 2 potions for resetting devotion 1 potion for attributes. Sylverrian has a nice MI ring, there’s heaps of unique bosses that have high drop rates ive gotten 4 legendaries on veteran and I haven’t even been farming
Anecdotal evidence. I played through all of veteran full clearing all AoM zones and didn’t get a single legendary outside quest reward (level 60 at completion).
imo the advantage of running AoM content on elite is that you’ll be about 10 or so levels higher when you make it to ultimate, so it won’t as take long for the first level 84 mythical items to show up in the droptable in ultimate.
if you skip the content, you’ll still get the old legacy legs and empowered epics until your level is high enough for the new stuff.
Honestly guys I’m running my level 85s through the content on both difficulties. It’s a lot harder on Ultimate for sure. I don’t feel the drop reward is worth it but you do gain xp faster. With weaker chars I’m taking them through elite first. They soon begin to gain xp and the drops are fine. Have seen plenty of purples as I go.
