Small suggestion from a "new" player in regards of skill animations for the Oathkeeper

Hi all!

Got Grim Dawn about 4 months ago, since a friend recommended it, and this game is indeed pretty amazing!

I’ve been lurking this board for quite some time, so I decided to register, so I could make this topic, about my favorite mastery, which is the Oathkeeper (I have a Warlord and I’m now making a Templar).

After playing a bit with all possible skills from this mastery, I wanted to give some smalls suggestions to inprove the visual animations of two skills which are my favorites in this mastery.

The first skill is Smite:

I think this skill could use a better visual effect to make it more… smitey looking, if you know what I mean. Currently, this skill has this yellow effect, but I think it would look better if this effect where a bit more bright and perhaps more fiery looking, since the skill itself is associated with fire, and by making the colour yellow bright, it would make it look like some kind of “holy fire” effect to it and it would fit with the skill and mastery’s thematic.

The other skill s Judgement:

My favorite skill of this mastery, and I love using it in the middle of a bunch of monsters, however I think this skill would look way more epic if the casting animation was the same used by the War Cry skill from the Soldier, where our character raises their weapons upwards, and it would look much better and more fitting with this skill, because right now, it looks like my character is just letting go a glorious fart (sorry :p), bit if Judgement used the same casting animation as War Cry, it would feel like the Oathkeeper is actually calling the power of the gods above to destroy his enemies around him!

Those are my small suggestions, and I would be very happy if it were possible to at least make my Judgement request come true

With that being said, thanks for the amazing game!

Ah yes, the skill execution is like a split sec longer, but I’m referring to the character casting animation, which could be sped up to match the current used animation.
