I killed him well over 100 times in Ulti on my petbuild he is probably the easiest Nemesis fo me it takes nomalt only a few sec it is the first time he killed me … :))

with this build i am immortal 3 sec/8 sec + cdr of aldanar’s vanity and you can everytime go kitting but it’s not amazing to fight like a coward

you have

  • huge aoe
  • huge cc
  • i can facetank every nemesis in normal ultimate game (without buffs)
  • my more dangerous opponents are those with entrapment possibilities and sharzul harbinger of chaos because of 100 % fire resist -> less dmg and … less life leech

I’ve beat it with pblades, quick jacks, callidor’s tempest, forcewave, dual pistol firestrike, sword & board cadence and Valdun’s Cadence. None used deathmarked or ultos.

General question - do you orient your builds for face tank, or do you kite, or mix of both?

I build my characters around a balance of offense and defense. For some builds this means they can facetank, but I play hardcore so I try to play pretty safely.

Haven’t really optimized it that much. I mainly based it on getting a lot of attack speed, OA and lifesteal to rapidly heal off of the big hit from cadence. It uses the Valdun’s treachery, Valdun’s Clip and Volley from the Plunderer’s Talisman for WPS.

Which consumables did you use? Where were you getting all the heals from? I got giants blood and healing rain on my CT sorcerer, and its not anywhere close to the amount of heals you were getting in the video. But that is an interesting setup.

I’ve seen no build/gear suggestions for most of the builds by anybody to take on crucible. I don’t care much much for the theorycrafting aspect, and would rather just copy someone’s build and play the game. I don’t like theorycrafting because I can spend hours switching gear and devotions around just to end up with something worse than I had prior. That’s not fun for me. Fun for me is seeing stuff die in ARPGs. Part of my failures in crucible is my lack of willingness to theorycraft a different setup, and would rather just run with what I was using in the regular game, expecting it to work. I can confirm that doesn’t work.

You appear knowledgeable about the game. You claim to have beaten crucible with a variety of builds. Care to share what you’re doing? In particular, devotion setups, what you gear for which particular builds, and which consumables are in your loadout, etc. All this would help. That’s probably too broad of a question, so I can maybe simplify it by asking what changes would you make on jaja’s sword and board Witchblade build to make it crucible viable? I made minor changes to some of the augments/comps and stuff, and got higher bleed (79%) and aether resist (66%) over the posted setup, but that’s about the best I can do to improve it for crucible.

hi,

i use the same build in regular game and crucible except legwraps from the tranquil minds vs fateweavers leggings (for the 50 % physical resist + 9% avoid melee attacks 16-18 % with tinker’s ingenuity)

regen:

  • with royal jelly ointment and buffs 900 + regen
  • life leech 13 % + 15 (if necessary) from lifestealer oil
  • life leech from fire strike
  • life leech from calidor is very important because you are hitting mutiple mobs with huge life leech (better to be surrounded)
  • the cooldown for mirror of ereoctes is 8 sec (with buffs) + cooldown from aldanar’s vanity. with mirror active you don’t take any dmg and life leech is 100 % effective

Just beat the crucible with my Witchblade. I made some minor changes, dropped falcon swoop for targo’s hammer, and got ghoulish hunger. Used some consumables. Found an Officer’s Bonescythe of Alacrity @ the merchant. Took about 14-15 reloads. I probably got lucky.

My aether resist was 66%, used a consumable to max it. Used HP/energy regen pots. I popped a couple clusters in tight spots that might have otherwise gotten me killed. I recorded wave 141-150, and I’ll upload it later on.

I had a wave with all the hidden path guardians, and the flying guardian was stripping 10K+ HP every time he sneezed. That’s dangerous business. On wave 140 I had to use an aether cluster because I had Iron Maiden + Anasteria (uber) + a swarm of heroes. Honestly that was the deadliest wave in the run. One or more of the heroes had some nasty debuffs too and facing Iron maiden debuffed would have gotten me killed.

I like the desert crucible arena. You can place offensive/defensive banners on the right side and they heavily overlap when they’re tier 3. The center of the overlap happens to be a chokepoint in an opening in the wall you can retreat back to in those particularly nasty waves where you don’t want to get surrounded.

Is there a place to see that electrojacks build you used? I’ve been out of the loop since 1.0.0.3 and didn’t realize this was a viable build. I tried looking on the builds forum but am not finding anything. Thanks in advance!
