Hi guys,
Just a quick heads up, there appears to be something wrong with the main page of the website: http://www.grimdawn.com/
When I go to it, I get this message:
It works!
This is the default web page for this server.
The web server software is running but no content has been added, yet.
Just thought you should know.
I got no problems here with the main site.
Cannot reproduce it either. Does it persist? Is the rest of the content displayed as usual? Which browser are you using?
I had problems accessing the website last night but only for, I think, 20 minutes. I was using Chrome.
Everything seems fine now.
I’ve just tested it again and I’m still getting the same message. It only started yesterday.
I noticed a couple of other people on the Steam forums (I went there to check if anybody else was having issues) were reporting problems as well.
Someone even thought it might be a DDOS attack. But for some reason that thread has been removed, so I can’t link to it.
If it’s of any use, I’m using the latest version of Firefox. This is what the page looks like, no content is displayed, just a blank white page with the message (luckily I have the forums bookmarked separately and they’re working fine):
PS: I just tested it again with Internet Explorer and it worked fine. I also tested it with my Mum’s computer (she uses Firefox as well) and again it worked fine.
So I have no idea why mine won’t load.
That could be cookie thing or is caused by an Add-on. What does the A-icon next to the address bar stand for? Does your mum use it, too? If not, try to disable it.
Just tried it on Firefox and it’s fine for me.
The A icon next to the address bar is for the add on ‘Theme Font Size Changer’.
Yes, Mum and I both use it, so I don’t think it’s the problem. It just enlarges the font to make it easier to read for people with poor eyesight.
But as it looks like it’s just me that has this problem, I’m not too worried. As I said, the forums are working fine and no other websites seem to have this issue touchwood.
So I’ll just bypass the main page for now.
Could try a chache refresh as well. CTRL + F5. could be Firefox has that cached from the one time the website had problems and hasn’t tried reloading for some reason.
Hopefully it fixes itself otherwise. One of the ghosts in the machines.
Ha! It’s working again!
I have no idea why. I haven’t done anything differently. I was going to try clearing my history and cache, but it just started working again on its own.
So for now, everything seems to be working again. Nighteyes is right, I think there’s a ghost in my machine :undecided:
hmm. Name server fail or something?
