So after 10 characters and 700 hours played, Soulbearer dropped for the first time.
It’s ability if 3% health and energy on enemy death, with no cooldown, seems really OP.
How is it practice?
Sorry to be “that guy”, wouldn’t the best answer be to try it out yourself first and be the judge of that?
Also, btw the proc you state doesn’t belong to soulrend iirc
I don’t think that’s Soulrend ability. It’s ability is Dread Ice which deals pierce and ice damage, reduces the target’s damage by 12%, freezes for one second and it’s 6 projectiles going in every direction while having 100% chance to pass through enemies with a 2 seconds cooldown.
It’s a good proc.

I would assume that that is “safe” simply because it’s Vit. You basically have that already with Vit builds. You could, I suppose, use it in a non-Vit build, just holding it for that proc alone and the stats you could use on it, the health, res, and CDR. I don’t think it’d be at all OP in a Vit build… And I kinda doubt it’ll beat a regular weapon in other builds, simply because that’s an on death proc, and thus no use against bosses.

Pretty sure OP is talking about Soulbearer here.
Don’t want to disappoint you, but Soulbearer actually are not solid choice for any build.
That scepter is positioned as suited for heavy vitality based caster, but in any case Fang of Ch’thon will be best choice that Soulbearer.
Looking at the recent posts about dryad, the new devotion cap and now this thread, I’m starting to think some people have no idea what “OP” means…
