I just recently started playing Shattered Realm. I was playing in Normal and have so far unlocked up to SR 40 on one of my characters.
However if I switch to Ultimate that character can now only open up to SR 35, not SR 40. Switch back to normal and they can access SR 40 with the same waystone.
Switch to another character and it’s only SR 35 in both Normal and Ultimate.
So I seem to not be able to access SR 40 except on the character that unlocked it and then ONLY in normal difficulty. Not too sure how to carry on progressing if crafting waystones going forward doesn’t unlock the higher SR shards.
Am I missing something or should I be posting this in the Bug Reporting Forum?
You reach a checkpoint every 5 shards completed. So the waystone you crafted should say in its description “can open from shard 35 to 45”, for example. So if you haven’t reached SR 40 with this character, the closest you’ll get with such a waystone is SR 35. You need to make your way to shard 40 “manually”.
The various Waystones have a level range specified on them; the one you’re using is 35 to 45, but your SR progress is separate per difficulty.
So that Waystone allows you to start at 35 minimum, but you still have to get to 40 manually on Ultimate if you want to unlock the checkpoint on that difficulty.
So if you want to minimize the amount of runs you need to do, look at the minimum level of the stone to know when to stop and move on to the next difficulty.
TY very much. So just to confirm that I would need to hit level 50 in Shattered Realm in Normal as that would let me craft a waystone above my current one that opens lvl 35 to 45. I should then be able to take that into Ultimate as that would have a minimum level of 50. Is that correct?
Yep, but you can unlock the 50-60 Waystone blueprint in any difficulty. Normal is fastest though, since you’ve already unlocked a checkpoint at 40 for it, and Normal runs are easier/faster than Ultimate.
