Hello, with the last patch 0.8.3p5, I noticed that my villagers started to starve, sorry for my English, I hope you understand. This is fixed by quitting the game and back in, but I think it’s something that shouldn’t happen in the first place.
Same problem here. they start to starve after leveling up to level 2 with towncenter. after a few month, everyone is dead. nobody mpves anymore, everyone is standing at its position and is doing nothing. even shutting the game doing and reloading is not doing. everybody dies.
If reloading does not fix the issue then we would very much like to see it. Can you please upload it?
Saves are located in:
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\my games\Farthest Frontier\Save
Zip up the entire TownName_###### folder along with the .map file and .sav that reproduces the issue. If the files are too big, you can use a service such as Google Drive to share it with us.
Thanks!
Thought I had suddenly seen the same problem for the first time:
Started a new field, and as usual laid out a wooden fence around it since there were deer spawns nearby. Villagers flocked to the field to clear it. Since it was semi-wooded, they chopped a bunch of timber and built the fence right away.
Then all 15 villagers in the field up and starved to death.
My first thought was that I had reproduced the problem others have posted about.
Then I noticed that I had forgotten to put a gate in the fence. As soon as the fence was complete, all the villagers in the field had no way out, and so they dropped where they worked. Apparently no one thought to take his hoe or mattock and break down the &^#$@ fence to get out.
So, in the future, make sure you include a gate - unless you really need to cull some excess villagers quickly.
By the way, after the bodies had laid there for a bit, the field also got an infestation of rats - which makes sense, I suppose, but is rather a macabre touch . . .
