The only one I could find Father Squid, was one on the linked thread here; http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=544&highlight=Crossroads
But I’m not sure if that was supposed to be the prison, or if it was just a regular building (the U-shaped one).
Anyway, that’s brilliant med! This really sets the mood for the rest of the game! Also, any chance of a big battle (against a boss and his minions maybe?) defending the prison? Would love to fight atop the walls of the prison itself, shooting at the Outsiders below
The only stuff I remember is this pre-kickstarter feedback:
I’m not aware of further updates on this.
Would love to see some kind of ‘phasing’ taking place as we complete quests. See the town start to recover, gain some life. I know it’s only superficial, but it’s a visual reward that I do enjoy.
I know I could rely on you. :3
My favorite aspect of this beautiful picture is the lack of cartoony icons floating over the NPCs’ heads.
There will be some visual changes, like things getting repaired but it won’t be a huge change, like the entire town changing / expanding which is beyond what we can do with our current tech.
Looks beautiful wait i forgot to say something SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!..but i dont have a credit card
You can always “wall” a part, like block the sewers, close a door, destroy a bridge…
But I thin the best change you can do is adding/deleting NPCs (and their dialogues/cloths/activities) according to the missions completed.
Astounding! =)
I am glad you lean more towards having less towns, and visiting them more often. I like the idea.
After all, this place will be our virtual home for some years, I am glad it looks that good! =)
And as always, can’t fu**ing wait to play, release the alpha already, pleeeease!!! =)))
You should leave one cell structurally in tact with one lunatic inmate in it who has a great deal of dialogue(rants) about a great many topics which have absolutely nothing to do with the storyline of the game. Hidden in said dialogue would be hints to some sort of secret treasure which doesn’t actually exist, just to torture the player. NPCs shouldn’t be the only ones being tortured in this game, right?
YAY ! I can’t wait this
About the visual and workable area I was wondering appart from making a few things work and get things going in town. will there be say quests say for the story or for say the people hanging around town to beable to like look like they start to help as you progress though the development of town so it becomes more living than just a workable starting area.
I mean there could be quests where you have to make more trips from town to town to get supplies for the other town and generally help out but all awhile killing mobs and clearing a path for the starting area to beable to say walk or even get to the second town and so forth.
I think the variety of possiblity in this game could be huge and even though your word on the present tech to extend the town might not be completely needed but to help out the town and maybe even get to the point where your actually bring’ing in people into the cells and refill them with out side criminals.
If that could happen at same time in game then this game has a hell of a lot of good stuff that could come from it. keep us going with info
I love the amount of detail in the picture. Can’t wait to see more of the world.
Would/could the cells also be used essentially as a shopfront. After all, what can keep people in can also keep people out. It would purely be visual of course. An NPC vendor at the doorway entrance perhaps.
As always, incredibly impressive work. It is nice to see the art assets being developed.
Looking amazing guys! Great work! Pass along my compliments to the rest of the team!
That looks great. It’s good to see things moving along nicely.
The prison now looks even more captivating!
TECHNOmancer
This also makes sense given the setting. It’s cheaper to build larger cells that hold groups of prisoners rather than giving each prisoner their own cell. I can’t imagine money is easy to come by for a town like Devil’s Crossing.
Prisons, okay there has to be an obligatory escape tunnel quest chain Maybe a group of brigands is trying to find the entrance?
I was thinking of a traitor in Devil’s Crossing quest line where somebody was sabotaging the town’s recovery. Maybe a brigand spy trying to find the supposed escape tunnel to let their fellow brigands in to slit your throats as you sleep?
I must ask:
Is that how large our screen will be? Or will the screen be half that size? Neither?
