Stocking the Trading Post

I have about 50 hours into the game thus far and had a suggestion on an additional option to keep the trading post stocked. I know there’s an option to keep a certain amount of an item stocked in the trading post. The problem with this is there have been times where I set an amount to keep at the trading post, but the item runs out in general storage. Let me give you an example. I decided to keep the trading post automatically stocked with 10 linen shirts. This worked well until I ran out of Flax and the villagers were unhappy about the not having clothes despite the fact there were 10 shirts in the trading post.

My suggestion - Have an additional stocking option that lets you set how many of a particular item to keep in general storage and automatically have any excess items stored at the trading post.

I am missing this feature as well.

Sometimes the trader buying the items for a good price will not appear for years. I am for example selling excess of pottery. Over the time I can accumulate in the trading post a surplus from 3 years. When the trader finally comes, I sell him the stack of the excess pottery from 3 years, but that means that if I have the current auto-stocking turned on, the trading post starts sucking all my pottery production, trying to restore that 3-years worth amount, leaving nothing for villagers to use.

I found the current auto-stocking useful for few items that I already collect, but not consume yet. E.g. the roots before building the medicine house, or honey before building the brewery. For those I set the max. amount to stock, and turn on the auto-stocking to not need re-enter the max amount every time I sell something from them. So it is useful for some cases, but for the majority of situations where I produce and consume as well, and want only the unused surplus send to trade, it is missing the ability to set the minimum amount to be left in the global storage.

They need a storage capacity showing x/y that would be like 375/750… amount used and maximum… I would like to know those…

Also for items bought and transported, should show something like 50/0 (meaning 0 will be left in building when done… but show it being transferred as to nothing showing in the storage which makes you wonder whether you bought it or not…
