I have seen 1.0.6.1 guides with 1.0.7.1 updates for both, both intriguing for their own reasons.
For this patch: Which one is stronger? More playable? Better suited for crucible 150-170? Why?
I know this will be subjective to some degree. Looking forward to opinions/answers.
ETA: Which is less likely to be nerfed in next patch?

Vindicator is my bet
Vindicator is the stronger one right now, but that also means it’s a bit more likely to get nerfed. Inquisitor is maybe a bit too strong.
Definitely Vindicator. More defense, more RR, more damage. Well, if you won’t take Wendigo Totem, then just more RR and more damage.
Plus you have access to Storm Box for more lightning/electrocute dmg and DA shred with Vindicator
Druid is one of the weaker classes in GD. Vindicator is one of the strongest if not the strongest. Anything Druid can do Vindicator does much better.

Answering op question: vindicator is much stronger than druid. The main reason is that inquisitor has the best in game source of elemental resistance reduction - Aura of Censure - while arcanist has no rr to speak of. Also, the seal, Storm Box for proccing Arcane Bomb, WoR, Deadly Aim are all superior to arcanist’s support tools.
This is an example of imo best vindicator build: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/xZy4WobV. This build is very sound defensively and top-tier offensively (does 4x runs) - something druids can only dream of. Is it likely to be nerfed? I don’t think so… And even if inquisitor is nerfed (again) it will still be miles ahead of arcanist for the simple reason of Aura of Censure.
The only reason why you’d wanna choose druid over vindicator is if you like the skills like TSS or OFF (a very valid reason btw, TSS is much fun to play)
Just an example how Druid with a “full” set (like taking advantage of both Wind Devils and TSS) is worse than a Vindicator using this set just for Wind Devils.
