Storm totem question

Hello,

I have noticed that shaman’s storm totem’s don’t proc inquisitor’s deadly aim on crit. Is it because, while the totems scale with player damage bonuses, they still act as a “pet” or their own entities?

If that is the case, if I proc the inquisitor’s deadly aim with a different skill will it :

  1. Boost the totems in general?
  2. Will it boost the totems that were already deployed on the ground before the proc?

I’m gonna assume yes for both since they are player damage scaled pets and Deadly Aim increases your damage, therefore also the storm totems.

Kind of odd that it only procs from your own attacks and not pets.

This is intended I believe (though I can’t remember why now). Player-scaled pets won’t trigger equipment procs either.
