Having a quarry seems like a must in my opinion, And to fit the theme of finite resources you could add stone clusters in the ground similar to Sand and Clay, or maybe like Iron, Gold & Coal. This will be an easier way to get stone which is a very important resource in the game from start to finish
+1
I would also add a forestry building. I get that they want to make trade important through scarcity, but it is just frustrating not being able to harvest enough of these resources on maps where they are plentiful.
Yes to both
Agreed. Ive played for around 21 hours and by far the most annoying things have been wood and stone. They are needed for everything and yet they need constant supervision. they wouldn’t need to be a tier 1 or even tier 2 buildings but for late game it would be nice not to have to run all over the map to collect 10 stone.
Having a Quarry is very interesting.
If not, add bigger and huge rocks to be extracted in the map.
The lack of wood is a headache. We need in the Working Camps an option to replant trees or a way to make the wild trees to grow a faster.
If you do not have trees you depend too much of the trading post, and wood is a basic resource.
Having a “Lumber camp” which main focus is to gather trees then you might as well remove the workers camp since both resources are being gathered from 2 seperate building unless you want to keep workers camp at a lower tier and be more temporary. And replanting tress happens automaticly it just takes a long time for them to regrow. Which is why you switch the work area around for the workekrs camp. But stones dont exactly grow again which is why i could see the use of a quarry to bring in a larger quantity rather than having to buy stones from traders after 5-7 hours of playtime. Everything is good ideas and i do think that the developers have thought about implementing some of this. But can’t everything at once from an early access.
