I prefer Venomskin instead of course but there are others worse pants and other gear for stats like for example Rime… I already lost interest.

Those pants are trying to be melee pants and retaliation pants at the same time, except they don’t give phys res or enough stats to be good for melee and don’t give any relevant skill bonuses to Retaliation builds (and simply outmatched by Thornhide and even blue retal pants).
I fully agree. Asid / poison pants are almost unattractive.
+1, acid gear suck arse. Pants, belts (outside oathkeeper), gloves, to a lesser extent but also boots and medals.
I would say medals are somewhat ok. Not gamebreaking like cold Undying Oath (or even Mark of the Dark Dreams for some builds) or Lightning Korvaak’s medal or Pierce Direwolf, but okay-ish. Boots are pretty solid: Stonetreaders are pretty massive and Venomspines give insane amount of resists/DA for someone like Dervish or Sentinel.
I mean…you really only ever see 3 acid medals - basilisk for RE (and it’s picked more often in vit builds), mark of the forbidden, and the medal with +3 to LA
Imo there are only 3 legendary acid medals and one of them is for pets so virtually every MI or purple acid medal have purpose.
In my feedback about acid stated few glaring issues like DA or CC. For example rings lack sufficient DA and no acid gear will grant you the vital stun and slow resistances.
Also most of the gear(good gear) like Plague of Dreeg, OK belt, RE medal, Meditation provides acid resistance. And you have it in abundance. So acid gear is definitely lacking in some compartments…
Right. Honestly - best devotion pathing for 9/10 acid builds is aeon’s/DG or Aeon’s/eldritch sun
Sadly you’re right. Especially on OK casters it’s so much better to take DG+Aeon to gain massive stats . I figured very good devotion route for it, will show you tomorrow. For my DW melee WH will still go Murmur+Abomination because I am using both hands of the proc but sometimes it’s not really worth it.
Also Acid have pretty good T1 devotions and you can still take them and have attack power on top of permanent Ascension and slow from Aeon.
