Pretty much the title.
For now, the only good thing of Soldier’s part is that +1 to it on the amulet. Bonuses to ZT are absolutely underwhelming and ridiculous because
it is useless for dw builds as ZT hits only with 1 hand and has slow animation so it’s far better to just not use it;
speaking for 2handers, chaos cadence is a complete joke (and ZT won’t carry it) and BA doesn’t interact with WPS so ZT is useless again.
What do I suggest?
Remove this bonus completely and add sth that would fit in nicely (actually, ANYTHING would be better). The options are:
Replace ZT with MA bonuses. This will make more sense as DW cadence is pretty OK.
Replace ZT bonuses with FS bonuses like -cd or extra duration, flat etc. These both options would work well with new MIs.
Replace ZT bonuses with bonuses/skill mods for Cadence/BA like, say, +1 target to Cadence of flat to BA or sth like that.
Please write what you think about it, any suggestions and thoughts are welcomed.
It would be good enough to change Zolhan’s Technique to Markovian’s Advantage, so that we could get nice synergy with Nightblade WPS skills and even try Chaotic Blademasters . Blade Arc/Cadence support is awesome, but I doubt it might be implemented. Fighting Spirit modifiers are also OK.
I once tried part rah’zin chaos blademaster. It was too mediocre even with really good stats.
I agree with the OP and raise the stakes with another suggestion;
Since the rah’zin is the only proper melee chaos set it also needs some general support for all classes.
So change the shoulder conversion; make it elemental>chaos so partially usage of the set might be useful on non-nightblade chaos builds.
Cadence chaos need some aoe and ZT are useless in DW builds. I don’t think no one play chaos cadence with 2H since there is no proper weapon for it and 2H cadence makes things harder. So as OP said make it MA bonusses and add it to some degree of attack and 3 targets please. Atleast with seal of the void’s it will have ok aoe which is enough.
Change chest conversion to vitality>chaos instead of pierce. If one use full rah’zin then one can not wear sash of the bloodlord and can’t convert vitality damage to chaos. It’s a problem. Pierce>chaos is already exist on Fang and Voidspire.
Not related to rah’zin but I think these ones create more love to chaos. But it may help rah’zin to be partially used which is really meh rn.
A. Mix Voidsteel Gauntlet’s and Voidrend Talons. Swap Belgothian modifier with Smite modifier. Then Voidrend will have chaos belgo and cadence modifiers which maybe useful for Chaos Blademasters, and Voidsteel will have Chaos RF and Smite modifiers then we may see some proper Chaos Sentinel’s both 2H or DW.
B. There is no proper chaos conversion on the rings, only 2 of them have and they are fire>chaos. Entropic Coil or Voidwhisper Band can use some conversion. Elemental>Chaos would be great and can bring some diversity for inquisitor combos but I can settle for acid>chaos.
C. Let’s say you want to play with Chaos Sabo, you want fire>chaos more than cold>chaos because you have voidspire in one hand so only 2 pieces rah’zin can be wearable and 2 piece rah’zin bonus is nothing important.
Let’s say you wanted pyromancer, full Rah’zin is pointless since FS is better. But also rah’zin provides no vitality/acid>chaos conversion so again it’s completely useless except the damn RR.
Sentinel? No need for full rah’zin but then no RR. No chance to have both RF and Smite chaos modifier so no point to try at all.
Blademaster? Yeah kinda meme but if it you use night conduit with aether/chaos RR and find some other RR sources wouldn’t be so meme then rah’zin amulet gives a lot. And Both Cadence/Belgo modifiers are not on the same gloves.
Deceiver? Don’t, just don’t…
Infiltrator? Meh but promising. Need more elemental>chaos conversion.
Purifier? Maybe only with SR set but again need more especially lightning>chaos conversion.
So yes, Rah’zin requires some atention to make chaos builds more advanced. I’m with the OP and I believe chaotic purposes should be spread among the classes and foes.
Rah’zin is a set that gives an autoattack when completed, so as much as I want it to support blade arc, it shouldn’t. I think I’m leaning more on the fighting spirit suggestion from the OP, tho I’d love to see something else like field command. Add some flat damage mods, maybe some % chaos mods, then points to field command/squad tactics.
