Really enjoying this one. Campaign is roughly 2 hours long, which isn’t great, but it has all the enjoyment and replayability of Hotline Miami. Plus there’s challenge modes and endless survival modes.
My highlights so far:
No regrets in picking it up at (nearly) full price.
This may sound strange, but for me this is more a puzzle game than a shooter. But i dont think its worth the price, and would be best to wait for a sale.
It definitely seems like more of a puzzle game than what is traditionally thought of as a shooter to me, which is cool since I like puzzle games. Like you, I’m waiting for a sale to get this.
waiting for a sale as well. especially since totalbiscuit says the story mode is 2hours. but it has a ton of modes unlocked after that which adds longetivity. but i’m easily bored with that stuff. i’ll wait for a 10 euro sale.
I absolutely love this game so far. 10 hours in under a week. I’ll certainly be breaking 1 hour/dollar spent (which is my metric for a worthwhile purchase). 10/10 would recommend. Can’t find any faults with the game to be honest.
I saw this game a couple days ago, looks very interesting, could you post more info about it? i really want to try it but being on a TIGHT budget i have to save every penny i can. :undecided:
It really does look very cool, i just like some more info on how the game plays/works.
Everything more or less stops as long as you’re standing still (nothing perfectly stops because “nobody’s perfect”). The objective for most missions is simply to kill every red dude that shows up. You can do that however you like; beating them to death, stunning them then taking their weapon before shooting them, etc. Eventually you unlock ‘Hotswitching’ which lets you swap places with any enemy, instantly killing them. That’s on a cooldown, though.
The campaign is short, and will take you around two hours to complete, but I’ve got 10 hours on top of that (12 total) by doing the bonus modes unlocked upon completing the main campaign. Bonus modes include a Katana-only run of the campaign, a run in which you can’t shoot guns but throwing anything at an enemy (including guns) kills, a run where you have hotswitching from the start and punching instantly kills, etc. There’s also endless arenas which are exactly what they sound like.
Would recommend it if you like the Hotline Miami style of games.
i think i will buy this game and give it a shot, it really does look unique and worth the money. never played Hotline Miami, but thats another game that i want to try out.
H.M. is very addictive, but has little replay value due to levels not being randomly generated.
I don’t feel multiplayer is a particular feature it needs.
The story is nice enough, & the graphics do the job (though could be more visceral).
