I have noticed that by using the “W” button or even changing it. It will not always switch between weapons. Not sure if that is a common ordeal but i have no mods on top of it. So i am not sure what is causing it to not switch weapons.
Doesn’t it start working for a given character only after clicking the swap button in inventory?
Why would you need to click the button in the inventory? Makes no sense. You’re not going to open that up to swap weapons in the middle of a battle.
To reduce the number of people who ask where their weapons went. They might hit W without even knowing that swap was a thing in GD. Forcing them to click inventory button first should help them connect the dots. I’m pretty sure hotkey is disabled until then.

Was added at some point you need to manually click the weapon swap button in char screen to activate it the first time on new chars
Unsure if that got reverted back tho or got new bugs associated with it
