They got through 4 layers of gates, and killed all 48 soldiers. but by the time they got into my inner keep (only another single layer of wall and gate) around the storage area… the towers had chewed them up enough they retreated.

I have been noticing that the invaders ignore the amount in the trade post and request around 2/3 of the amount in global storage.

I have not seen this yet… at what level does this happen?
How many citizens?
How much money?

Looks like I will need better walls, more barracks, more soldiers.

I have some work to do, I am not at 1000 yet.
I have time to make my walls stronger and better protected.

I have had them start WELL before 1000…

yes, I have had gold demanded with as little as 400 pop

I had the same issue last night.
Year 48, town hall rank 4, around 25k gold in bank and 400 population.
The army asked me around 19k, I refused…
They entered my fortified area without any problems and did a lot of damage there, whereas usually the looters (max 60) couldn’t destroy a single door…
Fortunately, I had a lot of tower defense in a small area, they sprayed the army copiously and made them flee, but I was hot…

Don’t worry. I had 'em wipe my first town out at 400 pop. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, you learn quick they mean business.

And for those that don’t know, you don’t have to answer them right away, you have 12 months to prepare. If you have barracks, towers, and walls, they should pretty much never enter your city.

Really ?
When they attacked me, they all charged at the same time (looter and ram) on the same door. It was the best guarded gate, 9 lv2 guard towers in direct range and 1 barracks (the gate is in a corner of my fortress).
The problem was the door, it didn’t last long.
Frankly given the power of the attack, it remains logical.
I will have to revise my defense upwards but to a certain extent I think I have contained their attack.
They came back, but very quickly left :wink:
