When you make love, you give it 100% not 50% my man! Just saying lol xd
Very true my friend
2 posts were split to a new topic: Eye of Reckoning AoE mod?
Another one would be weapon glow transmogs in case someone wants to transmog a weapon to a basic look. That’s something I wished Blizz would have done with D3. GD has some really cool looking basic weapons, looking at you Sawblade, that would be even better with a weapon glow.
Edit.
I’d even pay for a weapon glow pack. I can add it to the Loyalist pack I got a while back. Love the Berserker one with the wolf. Can’t wait to use that with my new toon when Fangs is live.
I feel transmogs is kinda ruining the ARPG experience. Now you can equip fancy stuff and it doesn’t feel like a reward, the feeling is much more valuable when you farm and the item you sought after drops.
I’ll bite.
In what world does transmog have anything to do with this?
What if the item I’m seeking for is one with a transmog I don’t have?
Well… In order to do the transmog you have to:
- Get the item needed for that process in FG.
- Get one of the items from the set that you want to transmog. You have to find it randomly in the world if no blueprint or you don’t have blueprint yet.
- Have the money/materials necessary to do one to several transmogs to get the specific item you want.
- Related to 2 above you have to find the blueprint (if one exists) to guarantee the entire set without farming the number of items randomly in the world. Obviously if no blueprint (like Bysmiel set alas) you are reduced to farming until you have the correct number of items.
I personally believe that these 3 or 4 steps makes transmog enough of a grind that the dopamine release from finally getting the set is not reduced in the slightest. And I didn’t even mention the items immune from transmog (like Krieg, Dark One, Lokarr, etc.).
I’m confused, are we talking transmog (illusions) or transmute (switch out set items)?
Either way, none of those are ruining the ARPG experience. Unless they’re from a loyalist pack, you still have to find the items by doing ARPG-typical stuff before you can equip them as illusions.
If you’re confused it is probably because I misunderstood. Sorry.
no worries, your main takeaway (dopamine release is not reduced) is still true.
